I hope I not send him out on loan because we have nobody to cover right back if AWB goes down. We sent Laird on loan and seem to be selling TFM.
Manchester United stance on possible Brandon Williams loan before transfer deadline - Manchester Evening News Wise move from the club: strictly going by the numbers he is needed. With the left side covered, we need him out on the right to spell AWB at times also.
Southampton are interested in #MUFC’s Brandon Williams, but a lot will depend on how things develop with The Saints other defensive transfer interests during the summer— Jønathan Shrager (@JonathanShrager) June 9, 2021 Fingers crossed, this is a move that happens. Would like to see Williams spend a season under Hassentutl. Looks like Bertrand could be on the move, so it's possible he could see opportunities open up at LB.
It is too early to tell whether to sell him or not. He has not had regular football in the first team. Yes there are the intangibles that he excels in, but can he hide his average ball skills through his experience? that is something that he will get over time.
Let's just start with a loan to a premier league team and see how he does. AWB is young but Telles only got a 2 year deal so maybe we bring him back to be Luke's backup or competition if he has a really good loan spell.
Some aspects if his game need work, not lack of fight though Loving the intensity from Brandon Williams 😤via @ManUtd pic.twitter.com/tBxwOra75D— utdreport (@utdreport) July 16, 2021
For his debut, you can see he has a lot of mongrel in him. It is a great attribute for any defender to have. He needs to work on his attack and improve with the ball at his feet.
The term has a lot of mongrel in them is something that is often said in Rugby. I guess it doesn't carry over to soccer well. It means the player has a hard edge and is likely good for a few penalties maybe a yellow a game.
Works fine as an expression for us Brits too - you guys are way too sensitive. Nice change-up tho - Chaz being over-sensitive is a switch
I thought of white supremacy sh*t where they talk about mongrel races. That word can have bad connotations when applied to humans.
Ok, I will refrain from Antipodean sayings from now on. I am a Ghanaian-American btw, but I have been a rugby player/coach/admin since 96 so I picked up some slang.
There are a number of dog, horse and farming expressions used in England, Aus, NZ, Netherlands etc. in relation to sporting attributes with nothing sinister intended (certainly in most common contexts such as this one). However if words have different meanings or send people in different directions in different countries and communities, then as always apologies - no offence intended.
Brandon Williams is set to join Norwich City on loan after Southampton refused to pay Manchester United’s £2m loan fee demands, per Sunday Mirror. Will be interesting to see if this has any implications for Diogo Dalot’s future at Manchester United.— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) August 1, 2021 Remains to be seen if this will be confirmed, given the source, but with a move to Soton falling thru, this is as good a fallback option there is for Williams, who needs this pretty badly.
That's good but will they be playing him on the Left or Right? Telles is gone after this season and if we don't get Trippier, who I don't want, then we will need a back RB soon
Next thing we'll know is you'll be telling us these are thongs. Imagine how small they're asses need to be in Australia to fit into these things. They got no ass, the water spins a different direction... it's a bad place Australia.
