Looking into this North Carolina church further, it appears he wasn't the only one engaging in scandalous behavior - the church promoted another guy who was "preying" upon a younger woman and sexting her (despite him being married to a woman and having six children). But yeah, the problem is clearly gays, right superdave?
Let me explain your deeply-rooted prejudice to you @superdave , so that you can better understand the situation. When you try to shift the blame onto gays instead of Christians, you are setting up a false dichotomy. Trying to refocus the blame onto gays when the topic is Christians is a non-sequitur, given that gays can also be Christian. If the thread were focusing on the sexual misconduct of heterosexuals, then it would be more appropriate to draw comparisons with the sexual misconduct of gays. But that's not what this is about - we aren't focusing on heterosexuals as a group committing sexual misconduct; the focus is on Christians who hypocritically condemn others from the pulpit for sexual behavior and work to restrict the rights of the LGBT+ community. Instead, it would more appropriate to refocus on atheists, or Muslims, or Jews, or Hindus or any other religious group if you wish to argue this isn't a Christian problem. Shifting the focus onto gays when Christians are at fault is simply an indication of your deeply rooted prejudice.
I just made the observation that he posted another instance of a gay youth leader being a predator, just like he posted another instance of a Christian youth leader being a predator. What’s the difference?
It is not a gay vs straight situation, and you know it. Gay and Christian are not opposites. You know this. It is a Christian youth leader doing it not a leader of a gay youth group. You are deliberately trying to downplay the Christian part to put the focus on the gay part, and you know it. You are deliberately focusing on the sexual orientation ONLY when the person is gay, not when they are straight. The problem here is not the sexual orientation of the perpetrators, it is that Christian denominations (and Christianity in general) have established a framework that allows adults to access to vulnerable children to groom them and sexually molest them. I think you are particularly upset that a gay man who used to be a Christian can debate the merits of Christianity with you, and so you try to denigrate gays whenever you can. You sometimes like to use the phrase "Oppression Olympics" as a way of denigrating my experiences. Well, let me tell you Dave, you are an expert in the Oppression Olympics - you, as a Christian, feel so oppressed that you have to denigrate other groups to make yourself feel better. It's also projection with you people, always.
Back in the early '90s/Clinton years, I had a manager who was a Lesbian. There was a discussion of gays in the military, and I said "Well of course they should ban gay people from serving in the military..." She gave me a shocked look. "...but if they do, they should also ban straight people." Had her going there for a sec!
Y'all will be shocked to hear an anti-gay North Carolina pastor was arrested for groping a man in Wal-Mart.
Not really. It all lines up, including Wal-Mart. I mean, if the groping was in a Whole Foods, that would be surprising.

The pope has chimed in and said they're both against life. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...al-election-live-updates-rcna170756/rcrd55325
I would suggest that’s progress…previous popes wouldn’t have put the Christian duty to care for the sojourner at the same level as the seamless garment of life.
Good article actually written by an evangelical Christian blasting people for the Haitian lies. However, only in the title does the author actually name one of the culprits (and I think it's usually the editors who pick the title). JD Vance is not identified at all for his role in spreading it.

What other way would he find other game to safely phukk and know no one ca. Say a thing. Predators are drawn to these kinds of jobs.
Something is going on with him. When I first got here, he was pretty happy-go-lucky and reasonably progressive. Now he's just a shell of his former self, operating in the cloak of Karl Keller and Bill Archer. UNC Kappa Alpha sitting in his rocking chair on the porch, lashing out at POCs when we don't fall in step with his uninformed White opinions of racial mistreatment.
