Apparently what I thought was the 3rd Degree Fan Club is actually called the Inferno... well none the less... my apologies to the 3rd Degree website... my comments are directed toward the negative parts of the Inferno.
No problem. Easy mistake to make as I used to host their website Here is my site, 3rd Degree.... http://www.3rddegree.net/ Here is the inferno, which I don't do anymore.... http://www.the-inferno.net/ and here is the Brimstone Cup, which I try and keep neutral http://www.brimstonecup.com/ (yes I know it needs updateing, I am working on it.)
thanks for understanding... Thanks for understanding... I always called them the 3rd Degree but I now know that this fan club is actually the Inferno......... and then I thought... Oh crap! I'm going to offend the 3rdDegree website which I go to on a regular basis for good professional news about the team. And that's the last thing I want to do... the web site is awesome and so is the running commentary. Again... Chile reports ruled... thanks for being a nice guy about my typo!
dangermon, let me ask you something. Do you follow any other soccer leagues? Reason I ask is lets take Arsenal and Manchester United and use them for an example. Both teams hate each other, but yet both teams have players who represent England and other other countries at the national scene. Is it right that David Seaman, Sol Campbell, and Ashley Cole, all in the first XI for England get booed at? Yes when they are on the opposing team. However when it comes to national team games, the same fans from Man U who were booing them weeks earlier will be cheering them on. Why? Because as long as they have on the opposite colors, they are the enemy. Put them in neutral colors and they are considered ok and put up with because it is for the country. The same goes with Jones, Lalas, and anyone else. Besides it is what makes the game interesting and fun. Yesterday I was in the southside stands and it sucked. Why? No one was doing anything. People thought they were at a golf or tennis match.
Arsenal, I have to agree with you. The south section was way too quiet. I was out there yelling trying to inspire people. The rest of the fans were just sitting on their butts. Also, the event staff obviously want to reign in vocal fans such as myself. Sarge
That is why I'm trying to get my sweeper tickets switch to ga. Maybe next time we should try and get togather and start our own cheers. Also going to email andy swift after vw suggested it. Wait, weren't you the guy I talked to during half time and after the game in section L?
I was in section L too. I tried to stomp on the stands in time with the drums, and yell at some LA players when they were whining at the ref but felt very out of place too. I get the impression that a lot of the old people from the GA section wound up in south reserved. I would love to change my tix to sit in the inferno section, but I imagine the view sucks from those seats when the ball is at the other end.
Why don't some of you Southsiders get together and trade in your seats so that you can sit in a group together in the Southside. Preferably up close to the field. Maybe off to a side just a little (like 30 yard line). This way the soccer mums will be behind you and you'll be yelling away from them (in the opposite direction from them). Also, there can be strength in numbers and there will be fewer soccer moms involved as you will be all in the same area instead of scattered out amoung the danger mums. Maybe you could start a "Southsiders" group and keep it together in the new stadium. I'd join up with you sometimes, too! "THE SOUTHSIDERS " !! or, " THE SOUTHSIDERS INFERNO " !! or, " THE 3RD DEGREE BURN " hehehehehe Really guys, come on, put it together.
Yes. That Ronnie O'Brien blast seemed like it was coming at 90 mph, and Morrow's crossbar smacking header was so close....
