Couple of good home games in a row, followed by an easy enough league cup win. Let's continue this away from home and continue Norwich's march to relegation.

... and continue your stellar run of thread-starting, following on to my abysmal one.

Lets get a big win to keep the GD growing. Would love a 4 or 5 to 1 win. Confidence is up, system is working, keep the good times going baybehhhh.

Also boxing day will be a hard slog, will be casually obese from xmas, up to watch the cricket til late and then 2am on the 27th is the Arsenal match.

Ever been to one of the Boxing Day tests? I’ve wanted to go to one for a while.

No Tomiyasu, looks like White at RB unless it is a back 3. And Patino makes the subs bench.

Looks like 4-2-3-1 to me, with Laca up top. Good lineup me thinks. With that slight wrinkle of Holding in as CB and White moving out to RB as you highlighted. Interesting the ESR hasn't made it back into the XI yet, but it should be a good enough team to take 3pts at Norwich.

    COYG!!!!

Watched the Bruges derby this morning (because I'm a slave to the groove).

The rest of my day is spoken for. Have a great boxing day.

1-0 Arsenal. Good play by Tierney to win the ball. Thought Odegaard should have shot and not passed, but Saka's shot found its way in.

Whoever is playing left back for Norwich has to be a double agent.

13' and so far Martinelli has been an animal at winning 50/50's or 40/60's... shouldering his opponent off the ball. A GREAT feature to see in his game.

Wish NBC offered gamebreaks to show highlights of goals on the trot.

Small sample size but given how White looks today I could see us easily finding minutes for Saliba next season with White rotating with Tomi at RB.

Another goal would be nice. 24 minutes in, still 1-0.

That's a good idea. As long as White is deft at switching back and forth between roles. But I don't know if it's in Arteta's DNA to do this though. He seems to really like to keep consistent lines and pairings... game to game.

Random question... anyone know what is up with players having holes in their socks on their calf? Noticed that Martinelli has them today. When we played Southampton I noticed 3-4 Saints that had 1-3 holes on the back of their socks.

Efan Ekoku seems to be in one of his trademark bad moods today. So sour in color commentary.

I would be too if I was working today, I get it, but sheesh.

Cedric isn't ideal as backup RB, Arteta has to change the way they play if Tomi is out. White is much more of a like for like sub.

I think Tomi/White rotating at RB and Gabi/White/Saliba rotating at CB makes too much sense. Probably more so then the White at DM that was suggested in the other game thread. You keep Holding around as the 4th CB for cup matches and depth in case of injury.
