    "ABU DHABI, Jan. 28: Englishman Roy Hodgson stated his side are “on the right track, we are building a competitive squad for the upcoming continental challenges,” 2 days following United Arab Emirates’ 1-1 home draw against Norway in an international friendly game held here in Abu Dhabi."

    Norway is supposed to play the Oman olympic side later this evening.

    Is this good news or bad news for Norwegians? :O

    My Norwegian fiance wasn't impressed, who would be? Oh well.

    The Norway squad that travelled to the middle East was by no means "full strength". Apart from a few players from the Austrian league the squad was entirely made up of domestic based players.

    This was also my understanding. It was a fresh Norsk side, not one you would expect for the Euro qualys or any other meaningful match.
