Northern Ireland holds Spain to a 0-0 tie in Belfast. Good to see Northern Ireland get a decent result against Spain... considering they lost 5-0 last summer to Spain. Too bad Northern Ireland couldn't score a goal.....

Help me out here. I listened to most of the game and then I saw some of the highlights. The great save by Taylor was the one where Raul was about 3 yards and he kicked it quick and Taylor saved it with his foot or something? It was very quick. Besides that, there were other great saves in that match and some good chances for the Irish as well.

Excelent Result for Northern Ireland. Pitty the Goal famine continues, but you can't take anything away from the performance. Having said that, I do think Andy Smith of Glentoran needs to join an English or Scottish club in order to continue his development. Ironicaly this could help Greece. Ukraine and Spain both being held scoreless at Windsor Park.

  4. The night itself was great in the ways of atmosphere and colour.. you would be hard to find anyone who didn't have a good night that night. It was also a great advertisement for our anti sectarian approach to football.. which is very active and getting closer to erradicating that disgusting side to our game. (unfortunately our southern neighbours seem to be wanting to pick it up.. all I can say to those people is DON'T!!)

Whilst we still haven't scored (Nearly 1000 mins), it was a good result and certainly something to build on. The mighty Greece next ...

I don't doubt that but until they get Neil Lennon back it won't be the same for now. Anyway, there are some good domestic goal scorers as well.

I was delighted with the game, im not fussed that we didnt score but we werent embarrassed.

Andy Smith is definately one for the future, I can see big things for this lad, couldnt happen to a nicer fella too as i know him throught someone i used to work with.

I look at NI like this: afew years ago wales were in a similar position and now theyve become respectable again, it may only be a matter of time before we are doing well again.
