After the Philly situation becoming more clear and heading deeper into the official halls of MLS, it seems that the rivalries are heating up.

    DCU - PHILLY
Seems like they are having a falling out. A portion of the DCU fan base comes from PHILLY. Within their boards there is talk about dissention and breaking away. Also heated talk about their first game and so on.

    NJ - PHILLY
Something similiaris happening here. Southern NJ fans have tended to support Philly teams over the years and this is no different. I read a few already talking about defecting from RB and heading to PHILLY. Rb retaliates with "well leave you selfish bastards, we dont want you anyhow." lol.

    Revs - NJ
Well the REVS just think that they can outsing anyone and several Revs supporters claim that they did so at the Swamp. They are in agreement with us that RB is in NJ. Although personally I kind of think that their support is a little lame. Considering that you have basically been the 2nd best team in MLS the last 6 years you could show more support. I'm not saying attendance wise, althought that could be better considering the acheivement, but vocally you could put up better songs. We have probably come up with better songs in the short time we have been together.

    Revs - DCU
This is kinda of quiet. I guess the REVS making it to the finals the last couple of years has dampened this a bit. But I'm sure that it will be renewed with vigor this year.

    Revs - Philly
This is going to be the War of Independance. The Fort vs. SoB's Patriot vs Patriot. Hey maybe it's really going to be the Civil War. Anyhow its cold right now and no news coming in.

    NY - NJ
I don't even want to talk about this. I think that it speaks for itself and we all know what its going to be like. As much as both says say their is no bitterness its there. Not that its a bad thing. It just means that both sides feel STRONGLY in what they believe in. What more could you want than that?

Give me your opinions? POST FREELY

I forgot the mention them as I'm soft on them yet. I'm sure that once the teams are in place and after our first celebratory tailgate the gloves are off. In the end if we they put number as an away team at Shea then you can be sure that its going to get heated pretty quick.

just imagine how easy it will be to get to Philly by train.
We'll have them and RedBull......we HAVE to go to both of those away games.

It would be safe to add NY v DC to that mix . Those of us former Metro Supporters will carry that hatred over .

I think that DCU is going to be scared to come into the belly of the beast. They are suburban girlie girls. Dont know if they can handle the drive into the inner city. lol lol

What's funny is that the most violent rivalry in MLS isn't on this list.

Metro v. DC: No contrived rivalry from mickey mouse expansion clubs will ever top this rivalry. Brawls, m-80's, bottle rockets, bus window smashing and that's just off the field. Great wins on both sides, and a history as old as MLS itself. Hatred on both sides.

And NYC_Cosmos, Metro fans don't consider you guys a rival at all. Most of us are just confounded that you refuse to support the local side. You confuse dissappointment and disgust with animosity.

Metro/Philly will be a good one as well. ESC and SOB don't get along at all.

have a question - I am not trying to pick a fight or stir you on - i am curious. I know the RB vs. DC rivalry is intense - the most intense in the league. Right now you dont consider us a rival - which is understandable - IF - There is another team in NY - you dont think you would think of them as a rival?

    Its only natural - no?

I had left the ESC before that video as that was a Red Bull trip not a Metro trip . Believe me there the problems with the DC wannabe hooligans go date all the way back to '96 .

just some DCU fans came looking for something this way a couple of times and I just told them what I felt. I think that many DCU suburbanites will be a little scared to come into the city. Jersey is one thing. But the city? I dont know and if they do, its going to be a GOOOD OLE TIME!!! For us that is.

Because I live on ********ing Long Island and have supported this club since 96. So if you're insinuating that the team is too far for you to support, then you're sympathy is lost on me.

From a fanatical standpoint, you will never touch DC. All of us in ESC are tight. I'm not going to hate a friend of mine because he supports another club. Those of us who have been around NY soccer scene for a while know of, or are at least acquaintances with each other. I will never consider NY my # 1 rival. I hate DC United more than anything, period.

I dont think that he was looking for your sympathy

Like I said before and I have to repeat again bc it seems that you dont get it. You may hate DC now, but wait until NYC comes around. Then you will learn what the real meaning of hate is. I also predict that you will be at the stadium with us throwing a fist in the air. Metro is no longer around. It's RedBull now.

All 6 of you. Unless you count the Redballs corp. free bus ride. I like the way you rounded up a bunch of homeless people and bused them down as fans.

I think that you have us confused with the Red Balls of NJ. DCU still hasnt faced true NY'ers yet.

What qualifies as a true New Yorker in your opinion? A person living in NYC that has not accepted Red Bull as their team?
