The winner is Kevin Glenn's design. https://www.columbuscrewsc.com/post...-winner-supporter-designed-new-nordecke-patch
From an email: I don't know if it's Nordecke-only, season ticket holders only or all fans. I still despise the fact that "wise men" is what someone thinks that song is named. Someone didn't know the name of the song and the wrong name gained momentum. Ugh.
All Crew fans invited. This is a sale of old (but unworn) scarves, shirts, etc. It's sort of a "Nordecke-version" of the team's gear sale. Kids will be able to create tifo for the opener.
The Nordecke Cup! Sunday, Dec 12 under the bubble at Historic Crew Stadium. More details below. Everyone is welcome to attend. https://nordecke.com/index.php/2021/11/26/2021-nordecke-cup-at-historic-crew-stadium-12-12-21/
Hey Crew fans, I managed to score a ticket to USA- El Salvador January 27th Works great as also get to see your fantastic looking stadium. I made it to the old place a few years back. My question is, it looks like the Blue Jackets are home the night before the USA game AND on the same night!! How does that work in the stadium district? I don't drive in snow or ice, so I picked a hotel downtown on Spring St downtown as I don't plan to waste money on renting a car from the airport. 9 minute walk to hockey arena and 27 minute walk to Lower.com per google. Is it "walkable" or even if I Urber, will that work with the crowds-cars etc of 2 games at same time? Any suggestions would be appreciated !
It's very walkable and I can't imagine taking 27 minutes to walk from Spring St to the LDC (unless you walk very slow). Restaurants/bars will be crowded but there's plenty of options downtown if you walk a few blocks away from the stadium/arena.
If you Uber, you probably won't get super-close. If the weather is agreeable, I'd suggest a rental scooter such as a Lime, Bird or Spin. They're all over downtown. If you're a first-timer, you can find codes for free rides. $5 can go a long way on them. Treat them similar to bikes (in the street the same direction as traffic or in a bike lane) and you're good to go. If you plan to Uber after the game, definitely wait it out at a bar. Traffic will be crazy for a while and surge pricing will definitely be in effect. As far as the crowds go, I wouldn't expect many hockey fans down there before 5:30 and that's if the game even happens. At this point, with the rate the NHL has to re-arrange their schedule, who knows what could happen. Assuming the game happens, soccer fans will definitely get down there a lot earlier than hockey fans.
