Well I wanted to talk about some non-Arsenal transfers that effect the EPL, mainly Beckham and some new rumors I just heard about it. It looks 95% for sure he will not be at Barca. Some other rumors I heard where a trade with him going to Real and Figo going to United, another trade I heard was Filippo Inzaghi to United and Becks to Milan. I have no doubts that those 2, the latter more so, would make ManU a much stronger side. Ruud and Inzaghi up front...scary.

All this talk of Manchester United netting a marquee striker to play alongside Van Nistlerooy--I've heard Shevchenko, Kluivert, and now I guess Inzaghi--is a bit frightening on the surface.

But it reminds me a lot of when they acquired Veron, who they didn't seem to need and who has never lived up to the god-like status he held in Italy. The flipside of the Ruud/Superstar coin is that they lose Beckham. I don't watch too many ManU matches, but I usually see the goal highlights and it seems he supplies an awful lot of crosses into Van Nistlerooy. Whoever they get, it's going to be a major shuffle. And that always takes adjustment time, no matter how talented the individual players are.

Other then what the boot kicking man in Manchester is doing I don't see anyone below Arsenal rumored with anyone that will challenge Arsenal's place in the top 2.

I really don't see this making them that much better, just more marketable. Still gald we are in the same CL pot as them.

Seems the next announcement would be Ronaldinho to Manchester.

Real are paying for Beckham in some relatively small installments. If they could come to a similar arrangement with PSG for Roinaldinho it would be perfectly feasible to get him too.

I would love seeing Manu miss out on signing Ronaldhino after selling Beckham.

It's good to see that the Beckham deal is, apparently, done. I waited for several sources to report it, and it seems to be true. Now the dominos will start to fall in the transfer market. I still think manUre will try and make the splash for Ronaldhino, thereby energizing Arsenal to get cracking, although our needs are completely different.

Where will our defender come from? Do we go "solid now" and get Staam or DeBoer (a deal that was reportedly "done" last summer) or go "young, good, and potentially great"?

I think that who we sign will speak volumes as to AW's future plans. If he goes with a Staam or a DeBoer, then I certainly feel that AW is looking to win the CL now and move on to a new challenge.

    Or am I wrong again???

    Postiga to Spurs.

I predict this move will alway the Spurs to play uninspired football and finish mid-table without challenging for a Euro spot...just like every year.
