apparently he's also getting integrated into Villareal right away and will not be loaned back to Orlando
It’s been widely known Villarreal has been sniffing around MLS for talent. They’ve already hit homeruns with two MLS products in Canadians Tani Oluwaseyi and Tajon Buchanan. Though Buchanan came to Villarreal via Inter Milan. Tell you what…… Freeman and Buchanan bombing down the right side for The Yellow Submarines will be fun to watch.
That seems pretty affordable - I guess with his contract up next year it makes sense. Moving this to YA as it appears to be a done deal? Name suggestions?
Also, as a packer fan whose favorite fan memory is when his dad did the 'he did what catch?!' on MNF vs the Vikings... He did what?! Alex Freeman @ Villareal Also expect lots of spamming of that GIF on Alex's thread from me
I think @felloveranddidanadu meant, Freeman will turn out to be a bargain for Villarreal because he's played so well.
Excited for this move, I think he'll impress immediately if the team plays in a relatively open style.
fingers crossed - its always a bit of a toss up how these things go - saw a lot of yanks struggle and not play much at all in recent years when moving to EU clubs.....many also hit the ground running La Liga is a very good league with a very high level of play, though.....its not easy.....we saw a player like Dest not really establish himself there the way he wanted to at the same position and with a lot more prior experience......that said, I think Freeman will make it work......the only thing that gives me pause is he is a bit green in terms of overall experience, having only played 1 year in MLS, basically.....hopefully the coach is on-board and really wants him - that will be the key, imo

Pochettino yesterday on Alex Freeman “I am not concerned if some players are going to move in that transfer window.... It’s important the player feels happy, feels comfortable. … They want to improve. They want to grow. It’s an amazing challenge we need to support, and help [him] into adapting the best possible way and to not lose focus.”
I cant imagine he actually plays at all tomorrow. Probably not even had one training session with the squad.
