It is imperative that MLS avoid these cities at all costs: Atlanta (lots of fair-weather fans) Anywhere in Florida (not too many fans, period) Phoenix (Triple-digit temps even at night) Anywhere in Utah (Concessions would be too limited) Las Vegas (need I say more?) Cleveland (Fans have no interest in anything unless it has something to do with the Browns) Anaheim (ESPN would have too much leverage) New Orleans (Not much fan support outside the Superdome).
Columbus - A town devoid of any major sports, where everyone's life revolves around OSU football... Oh wait....
So, the Indians f/o somehow convinced the Browns fans that every Indian home game would be a double header with the Browns. No wonder they sold out Jacobs Field around 600 straight games.
Re: Re: No teams in... As a Sox fan, I do not acknowledge the existence of the Tribe aside from their beatings at the hands of the men in silver and black. Just kidding. I did forget the Indians fans, but you have to admit Cleveland's a Browns town first.
But just about every town is a NFL town 1st. Even some MLB teams have learned that. Baseball is America's pastime, but football is America's sport. (Sad truth )
Cleveland would be a great town for soccer. Just like Columbus, they have had an indoor team for ages. There are plenty of more deserving cities, of course. Cleveland for 2020, I say!.
