As long as Florentino, or one of his associates, is overseeing the club, Arbeloa will eventually be back at the club, in some sort of role. He took on the role to manage this dumpster truck by doing Florentino a favour, more than anything else.

You sure? What choice did Arbeloa have? Could he have said no?

We shouldn't look at him accepting the role in a vacuum. Of course, he could have simply rejected the offer from Florentino, but in reality, we know it wouldn't have been so simple for Arbeloa to do so, even if he was content managing Castilla.

Him returning, one day, is a personal hunch that figures for me.

The issue wasn't Arbeloa taking on the job. That's admirable. The issue was him because a total wet towel, telling us non stop how he kisses the ground that Vini walks on and how "you can't win in Spain with the refereeing" just 2 days after he complained about the Referees in Munich.

The criticism he deserves is on the personal side, not the football part. But given that the coach has media availability 2 times a week minimum, it's a big part of the job.
