Other players are none of our business though and given the state of the team at the minute and the bullshit they are putting out in the media to try and convince us they are working hard, they are off to watch that embarrassment in Paris. At least Ceballos and Jude have their priorities straight and have decided to train today
Sure, just saying. I understand how bad of a look it is to be this mediocre and reward yourself with a vacation trip right now, this almost feels like a challenge to the squad to see who's about the work, and who's about the life.
What players do on their vacation is none our business. As long as they give everything during a match and training, that's all we can ask. However, I can see why people would be raising an eyebrow at this.
🚨 It is not by accident that Alvaro Arbeloa was one hour late for the post-match press conference on Sunday. Some people within the locker room are not happy with some of his decisions.— @La_SER pic.twitter.com/7wGqVpkK75— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) February 3, 2026
I disagree. There's a certain kind of social tact that you need to display right now. Having people pay hundreds of euros to watch you struggle around and then go and party while the dummies that finance your lifestyle are working is not a good look. We're not on vacation and the players should arguably never in a million years deserve the extra days offm
Assuming that fashion week nonsense is really going on (I don't follow that stuff), and considering the club seems to be run by the players (or at the very least, they have a listening ear with the upper management), it almost seems to me that they worked towards this decision (i.e. extra free days) being taken. And yes, like you said, it's not a good look considering the current circumstances (also when you look at the apparent lack of fitness of the team). Anyway, big task in the summer. And I sure as hell hope the club realizes it needs to make several tough decisions.
Xabi had no trouble benching Wirtz for an away game against Dortmund as a result of violating an internal rule. I have zero doubt that Xabi not disciplining Vini was a result of being told by Perez that he wouldn't permit that kind of punishment, which at that point, yes, Xabi was basically left with no authority to speak of. It's very likely no coincidence our decline, and the rapid acceleration to the end of Xabi's tenure here, began almost immediately after that happened. If Xabi made a mistake, it was probably deciding to stick around once it became clear he wouldn't be allowed to sanction Vini at all; once your authority is undermined, you're never getting it back to what it was before.
These babies need to be in time out. Nothing good every came from hanging out with a Kardashian. I thought we collectively as a species understood that ten years ago.
Shows a complete lack of dedication and respect for the fans/standards of the club. Let the boo's continue.
🚨 Vini Jr is attending a Kim Kardashian event in Paris! pic.twitter.com/Wi7YiJdmGO— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) February 3, 2026 They’re strolling around like they’re delivering elements of a Chicago Bulls 90s dynasty, going on vacation when it suits. Seriously make my piss boil these lot.
The only thing he's done "10x" is Kim Kardashian.. But Vini scored in the last game, he "back" and all is good now, I'm surprised Cuckeloa didn't give the players 5 days off on account of this joyous occasion..
🚨 JUST IN: The Real Madrid players were shocked that Dani Ceballos did not play against Benfica and told Arbeloa about it.The post-match press conference against Rayo was delayed because of some disagreements with the coach. The players are living as if he is an interim… pic.twitter.com/iDX09kRucO— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) February 4, 2026
I don't know. I find it kinda sus that the players came out for Dani Ceballos of all people. Like that's the player guys in the locker room looked around and said "we can't do it without him."
It's all media horseshit. People need to take back their minds. They are gone. Swimming in fake stories constantly. They are like a middle-aged woman obsessed with celebrity gossip. No one actually talks football.
Given Arbeloa and this team's penchant to get humbled by relegation fodder, I'm hoping for better against Valencia. If there's one thing we can rely on, it is to not count on Arbeloa to outcoach anyone. Dude is gone by summer.
We're going to burn through and destroy two young managers' equity in a single season, you can't make this stuff up if we were at the start of the season. Incredible twist in the tale.
Yeah thats the worst part. Just awful. Id say Arbeloa is trying to install the old siege mentality from Mourinho, but these arent the characters that respond to that either.
Arbeloa has no voice of his own. Everythign he says is what the bosses want him to relay. Every week, every press conference just adds to the humiliation.
