For at least the last 10 years, the Telemundo station in Hartford, CT has broadcasted a Serie A match on a feed from RAI in Italy every Sunday at 11 am. This was my first introduction to professional football on TV. I was hooked from the start. Every Sunday at 11 I got to see a great football match and get an Italian lesson all in one. Bellisima! Then, to my horror, in December these games were dropped by Telemundo. Is anyone broadcasting Serie A games on ATT digital cable? Fox Sports World, for all its wonderful games, occasionally shows an Italian Cup match, but no Serie A games. Does anyone know where I can see Serie A calcio on cable?
For what it's worth--because I live in Michigan--my Comcast (ick!) cable package comes with the RAI international channel, and that has been showing rebroadcasts of selected Serie A games each Sunday evening at 5 pm (that's one game/week). And welcome to BS
That channel is called "International Channel". It shows contents of many ethnic groups: Chinese, Vietnamese, French, etc. Many cable systems carry it. It shows the same game as the Hartford Telemundo, the game broadcast live on RAI International (Dish Network and C-band) at 0900 EST. dsarnold, check out whether your cable system carry the International channel. Today, it only has a so-so matchup: Chievo x Perugia. If Goltv can really launch in the U.S., then Dish Network will get a lot of customers - 4 Serie A games/week that people are enjoying on TeleLatino, Canada's Spanish/Italian channel.
The only way you can see live Serie A in USA is by getting RAI Intl. DISH would be the way to go if you really want to see the most matches on TV. And sometimes you can see matches online if the link works, here are some links(all in Chinese): http://www.go01.com/live6.htm (they show the late Saturday match and also the RAI sunday match on delay. But the link doesn't always work when you want it to) http://www.go01.com/live.htm http://www.go01.com/live1.htm http://www.go01.com/live11.htm (these links usually show a live match on Sunday, usually Milan ) All the above links however, haven't been working this week.
