Standard picks up a 3-0 win after last weekend's disappointing league result. A good result which allows Liege to stay towards the front of the pack.

Goals by Geraerts (20'), Curbelo (70') and Bangoura (78').

Don't know why Gooch didn't play but it may be a minor knock or just a case of getting some rest. He's played 2 games a week for the past 3 weeks (WCQ in Columbus, UEFA Cup at home, UEFA Cup in Istanbul). He was listed in the matchtracker as one of four "uncertain" players, but the other three - Deflandre, Dragutinovic, and Sergio Conceicao - all played.

    Maybe OmiKell will know more.

I was at the match, and no one seemed to know. I did hear someone mention that he hasn't been himself since the red card vs. Jamaica, but after his last UEFA effort, I don't think he was benched. No one seemed to think he was injured, though. Maybe he's just getting a breather.
