Rizespor equalize on a free kick from deep - keeper came out far to punch it away, but punched air and it bounces off of a Rizespor player and in. No Boyd involvement. 1-1.

Ilkhan great finish to restore the leadd for Besiktas, one touch roofing from a cross. Boyd was guarding someone uninvolved.

And Boyd is subbed off in the 61st as part of a triple sub.

Part of a halftime double sub that scores just as many goals as the attackers they replaced. Came in for a striker, but not watching so don't know if he played there. Win would have gotten them out of the relegation zone, but still 0-0.

Bench today against Altay. Possible offensive sub appearance - scoreless tie early second half in a relegation six pointer.

On the bench again today. They trail 1-0 late first half.

Getting demoted from starter to rotation in a Turkish relegation fodder club at 27 is bad.

Starts today and looks like he'll go the distance, but also looks like they'll lose 3-1 and the chances of staying up get remote.

The Brazilian Fabricio Baiano is back from a red card (second yellow) one-game suspension, and guess what he does?

Yup. He ups the ante and gets a roja directa. It was near the end, but now he'll be gone three games, I think.

Boring game. Kasimpasa is bad. Rizespor is terrible. Boyd is terrible too. At least he covers a decent amount of ground and seems not to be falling asleep, like some of his mates.

All the attackers were changed at some point but Tyler. It's a good sign, I guess. Still, everything about this was terrible.

A man who started competitive matches for the US and yet whom no one has mentioned as a snub gets the start today in Turkey for potentially relegation-bound Rizespor. One of everyone's two favorite Boyds in the USMNT extended pool. 1-1 after they just equalized on a penalty.

Really wasn't interested in PBP here, but Tyler just took a blasted shot that caught a defender's arm on the way through for a second penalty in five minutes, and Pohjanpalo makes it to go up 2-1.

There's also so much snow on the field that it's materially slowing the roll of the ball. Tyler playing on the right of a front 3.

Subbed off in the 85th after a goalkeeping flub allowed Trabzonspor to tie it up.

Pohjanpalo completes a penalty kick hat trick for the win. Stoppage time 1 v 1 with the keeper, where the keeper just decks him with his upper body as Pohjanpalo is dribbling around. Then complains about the call after getting a yellow that should have been red - no attempt to play the ball DOGSO, even with the double jeopardy rules, probably should have been a darker color of card.

They're second to last on the table but this was a win over the leader. Trabzonspor has still 15 points on second place, but not bad.

Tyler starts again as Rizespor are running out of time to avoid relegation and the presumable departure of Tyler. 1-1 so far.
