Wow, Max-Alain Gradel is in this team. He just assisted on a late winner. No idea if Boyd was involved.
Jorge Felix 88th minute gamewinner for Sivasspor. Good thing - Tyler & Co outshot them 21-7 with 66% possession, so seems deserved.
What are Sivasspor even playing for now? I guess they could catch Trabzonspor for 4th an a Conference League spot, but they are pretty far behind (although they have a game in hand).
Look around at the rosters of Superliga teams. It’s fun. You’ll go “huh…. so that’s where that guy went” 30 times or more. And people call MLS a retirement league…….
Gabriel Obertan playing as the #10 for Erzurum was a pleasant surprise. Even better that Nacer Chadli and Red Bull Reject Frederik Gulbrandsen were on the other side for Basaksehir.
Aaron Lennon @ Kayserispor, Lukas Podolski @ Antalyaspor, Kevin Mirallas @ Gaziantep, Loic Remy @ Rizespor, Danny Drinkwater @ Kasimpasa, Fabio Barini @ Faith, Demba Ba @ Istanbul, and the list goes on and on….. These guys are recent discoveries for me.

On his way out at Besiktas: https://www.yeniakit.com.tr/haber/teknik-direktor-4-futbolcunun-ustunu-cizdi-1546417.html Beşiktaş is also making plans to part ways with Jermain Lens, which he sent to Fatih Karagümrük at halftime, and Tyler Boyd, who was leased to Sivasspor.
I don't know that there's a player in the world whose talent level is more difficult to figure out. He was decent in the Portuguese league, then useless for a spell, electric in the Super Lig for a bad team, useless at Besiktas, and then fairly decent for a different bad Super Lig team. You could tell me that he was landing anywhere from Legia Warsaw to Feyenoord to Wellington Phoenix to Chicago and I'd believe it.
He's an old-fashioned winger: plays well, sometimes very well, for poor teams but can't fit into a plan in the way that a top side would demand. On his day, his unpredictability makes him a massive headache for the opposition. The rest of the time he's a massive headache for his team mates and coaches. With him turning 27 in the New Year, Besiktas was his shot at the big time. Doesn't look like he's going to make it, sadly
Left off the Besiktas preseason roster. Another move likely: https://www.fotomac.com.tr/besiktas...stan-tyler-boyd-karari-kadroya-dahil-edilmedi
He hadn't played for them for 4 years when he switched to the US. Wasn't like he was a valuable weapon to them at the time. He made the switch to the US when he was on a hot streak in Turkey. Probably the only time he was in a good position to change.
Possible loan back to his old club in Portugal: https://www.takvim.com.tr/spor/2021...p-boyda-yapilan-teklif-kartali-soka-ugratti/5

We are waiting for him, it may not happen."— Larry Henry Jr (@lhenry019) July 16, 2021

Some interesting development: Turkish goalkeeper Mert Gunok is set to join Besiktas from Istanbul Basaksehir and Tyler Boyd was reportedly on Basaksehir's wishlist as part of a swap deal, including €1 million. Boyd however has stated he doesn't want to leave the club. #USMNT— Larry Henry Jr (@lhenry019) July 28, 2021
