He went out in the 73' when they were up 2-0, according to my ticker (the second goal was a penalty). *They just corrected that to Hasic. Boyd went out in the 81' now, according to FlashScore (after the third goal).

Really don't buy that loan rumor. Just doesn't make sense why a club already lacking talent and depth would loan a player who plays a lot of minutes for them. Plus, Besiktas continue to play him despite his volatility, which certainly shows how much they lack confidence in their other options.
It's unusual for a club to start a player they are thinking of loaning out, so I think it's safe to say any possibility of a loan for now is off. Playing someone and then loaning them out limits your options for moves if the first loan doesn't work out (FIFA rule on no more than 2 clubs appearing for in a season).
And Big 4 clubs don't start a player they're thinking of loaning out in the season opener against another one of their country's Big 4, which is what Trabzonspor are. It happens, of course, but it'd be unusual.

Oh man, really nice run down the wing just now and great lofted cross which is headed just wide, nearly a very nice assist
Seems like he is in form right now. When he's in form, he should definitely be starting for the USMNT on the wing opposite Pulisic. When he's not, he's a blackhole in possession.
I have seen nothing from Boyd to indicate that he is better than Morris on any day. But I will say no more as the thread police may scold me for mentioning anything to do with the NT on the YA forum.
Not even close. Don't think he's even on the squad yet. That good form consists of a whopping 2 games after a year+ of bad ones overall.
Morris has been on fire for a full calendar year for both club and country. I'm not even sure Boyd would make the 18.
Agree to disagree, and I think people are misinterpreting my statement. I don't think Boyd should be a starter UNLESS he continues his good form for an extensive period of time. Until then, he doesn't belong above guys like Konrad, Weah, Morris, or Llanez. To be honest, I don't think Morris belongs, despite the fact he's been productive. He just doesn't have the technical and tactical ability at the same level as the young guys coming up at those positions.
Boyd is a conundrum wrapped inside an enigma wrapped inside a lamb kebab with fresh made smoked paprika cucumber yogurt sauce and a handful of grilled figs on the side.
Boyd was in form last year when he came into the USMNT and was clearly inferior to Morris. He could clean up on weak teams but gave nothing versus anyone competent. He'd have to show significant improvement to be considered ahead of Morris. He's not showing anything now, even in limited time, that suggests he should play ahead of Morris.
This week on Big Soccer I learned the following: 1. Schalke is a bigger club then Juventus 2. Josh Sargent is the best American striker ever 3. Jordan Morris doesn't belong in the USMNT pool.
Who did the USA play in a competitive game that is worth noting outside of Mexico? He produced vs. minnows and B/C sides. I know you have an affinity for MLS and MLS players, but I don't see Morris being a factor against the level of teams the USA should be focusing on competing with at a consistent basis. Again, agree to disagree. My bad mods, this will be my last off-topic post.
When did I say anything about the pool? I said he shouldn't be starting in the future, but he has earned his spot in the 23 in this moment.
Ironically, when adjusting for the opponent, he has almost twice as many goals + assists as any American this cycle. All USMNT g+a/90 numbers are equal but some are more equal than others: https://t.co/KBzqKpLGSn— Bob Morocco (@bob_morocco) September 16, 2020 You're projecting prejudice. And that's fine, but your teams would always underwhelm w/ that mindset of just not playing the best performing players, which is a really simple way of being a better manager. Let's bench Landon Donovan, our best NT player ever, because he doesn't play at the highest club level. That's the ticket.
Pulisic is higher than Zardes on the list, it would be a small margin regardless, w/out that big of a sample. Whereas Morris has played no shortage of games, and he's practically lapping the field. That's where you don't need quite as big of a sample. And if we're honest, Pulisic hasn't been very good for the NT for whatever reason. Morris out-played him at Canada, at Honduras, etc. It is what it is. Doesn't mean you don't continue to play him. He's played good enough, it's a false dichotomy, and he's back dooring trust w/ club play. Whereas if anything Boyd has lost trust looking beyond 2 games & the actual much larger sample of his appearances at Besiktas which has made him a club villain.
