now that the PaeTec Park will be finalized by the end of the year?
I know there might be issues with the field conditions, but maybe a carpet can be installed the way it was done at GS for ManU last yr (too costly?) If I posted this thread here is because it would be really the first time this area of the nation would have a SSS, so maybe some investor can come with a good idea to have the USMNT play another squad....Metro would also be a good idea, but by the time the SSS in Rochester is done, it'll probably be offseason (you know, after we get the MLS Cup ;) )

yeah, I think the new Rhinos field will be Field Turf, so I did mean a carpet of grass

i don't see them shelling out the money to put temporary grass in a 12,500 seat stadium.

whether the metro's play there or not, they always go up once a year for an exhib, even before this stadium.

It would actually be 17K, since they'll put up 4500 temporary seats as I think they call them.....

It's just an idea....I mean, it's sort of strange that in our tristate area we have not had the pleasure of enjoying the USMNT in a SSS, hence in a nicer, better atmosphere than playing at a huge NFL stadium...It'd be a full house, and the feel would be much better, sort of what we expect when Harrison (crossing fingers) gets done.....And a Metro game would also have a different feel if they visit the Rhinos in their SSS...It would certainly make a trip to watch the game a more appetizing idea
