The NLL, one of the blueprints of where indoor soccer should be right now, has added a team in Boston.

And look, the first day of announcing the new team they have a website --http://www.bostonindoorlacrosse.com -- and they're already accepting $25 deposits for season tickets.

Steamer- I can agree with your opinion about the sport but if you were to go to the NLL website and see the layout, if you were to go to a game, see the games on VS, see the teams websites, see links that work to things like TICKETS, and follow a little bit of the business of indoor lacrosse on oursportscentral youwill see that the NLL is exactly where MISL should be. The NLL is well run, well organized and doesn't have the normal SNAFU's that seem to crop up as a matter of course in MISL.

Watch the Boston NLL team vs the NJ Ironmen, Monterey LaRaza and Orlando Sharks in terms of who does whats best for the business. I can't predict the future but my money is on the NLL and its business model.

As an aside the NLL is going to an outdoor game too. There is a current outdoor league run by the guy from Body By Jake called the Major League Lacrosse. They have a team in Boston called the Cannons who will outdraw any MISL team but Baltimore or Philly on a good night. To my knowledge this is the first expansion team in the others backyard. Fight and hurt the other, nope, they being smart business men will work together to find a happy medium and MAKE MONEY.

MLL expanded into the NLL's Colorado market. I still go on the record to say the NLL's foray outdoors will be as big or a bigger mistake than anything the MISL has done (or at least second to multi-point scoring).

I didn't say anything about business aspect. I just think the sport is boring.

In my opinion outdoor lacrosse is boring.

    But I love indoor lacrosse.

When Major League Lacrosse launched in 2001, the outdoor circuit placed franchises in two markets where the National Lacrosse League already had a team: Metro New York City and Rochester, New York. MLL's Long Island Lizards and the NLL's New York Saints were serving the New York Metro Area, while the Rattlers joined the Knighthawks in Rochester.

In 2002, the NLL expanded into an established MLL market: the indoor New Jersey Storm joined the outdoor New Jersey Pride in the Garden State.

In 2004, MLL relocated a franchise into a market already served by an indoor team. MLL's Philadelphia Barrage joined the NLL's Philadelphia Wings in the City of Brotherly Love.

MLL's 2006 western expansion push placed the Denver Outlaws and San Francisco Dragons in the backyard of the NLL's Colorado Mammoth and San Jose Stealth.

In 2007, the NLL placed the Chicago Shamrox and New York Titans in markets served by MLL's Chicago Machine and Long Island Lizards.

The MLL will either merge with NLL-Outdoor or they will go out of business. The NLL is much better ran and has owners with deep pockets seeing most team are owned by NHL teams.

Comeon "Body by Jake" built the MLL and yes...it is a pile of trash. The tickets are expensive and the excitement and game play does not match that of the NLL. But lacrosse is outdoor and box lacrosse is indoor and these guys need to play all year.

I can see the NLL buying the MLL. Hmm...this just brings me back to why MLS needs to buy the MISL and make it MLS-Indoor.

I just noticed this on the NLL site and i've been on it for a lot of times but just noticed this, OMG...whats the address that I can find you at.

Actually, just five of the National Lacrosse League's fourteen franchises share ownership with National Hockey League teams: the Arizona Sting, Buffalo Bandits, Colorado Mammoth, Minnesota Swarm and San Jose Stealth. The remainder of the NLL's teams - including the recently-announced Boston expansion franchise - are not owned by NHL clubs.

possibly because at the start he says.........The NLL, one of the blueprints of where indoor soccer should be right now, and then he points out minor little things like And look, the first day of announcing the new team they have a website-- and they're already accepting $25 deposits for season tickets.

these are all reasons why the NLL has caught up to, surpassed and now greatly left in the dust the MISL.

they are very open to a merger.
