NK Široki Brijeg is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian team from the town of Široki Brijeg that currently plays in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Considering the size of the town, NK Široki Brijeg has had a great deal of success and has started to expand that success to European Cups as well in recent years as is demonstrated by the club being a regular competitor in European Cups for the past 8 years.

    Coat of arm:

The club was established in spring 1948, but due to many circumstances, some of them including unfavourable conditions towards the town of Široki Brijeg during the communist rule and relative size of it then, NK Široki Brijeg has experienced its greatest successes in the 1990s and onwards, and has become one of the most successful and organized clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

Again Croats felt communist iron hand during Yugoslavia, they hated whole city, because only Croats live here.:D How sad.

    Siroki Brijeg city: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9e/NK_Siroki_Brijeg.png

    Demographics:

    1971: 27.285 total

    Croats - 26.940 (98,73%)
    Serbs - 234 (0,85%)
    Muslims - 43 (0,15%)
    Yugoslavs - 12 (0,04%)
    Others - 56 (0,20%)

    1991: 26,437 total

    26,231 Croats (99.2%)
    147 Serbs (0.6%)
    19 Yugoslavs (0.07%)
    9 Bosniaks (0.03%)
    31 others (0.1%).

Now we can see why Siroki Brijeg was so dangerous. They couldn't destroy Croatian nationality in their minds, hearts and souls. Similar situation like in Zrinjski Mostar.

They play on Pecara Stadium, a modern stadium with a capacity of about 8,000. The stadium itself meets all UEFA criteria. The club also has a fully equipped sports and recreational center just outside of town which is used as training grounds for the team.

The club wears blue and white striped jerseys at home while away the team has a yellow kit. The club's crest features a football bordered by the club's name and topped with the Croatian chequy.

Fans of Siroki Brijeg: Skripari. This means Crusaders.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škripari

"The very name Škripari (or križari to be more precise, which means crusaders) is in tribute to remnants of Ustashe forces, originally known by that name, who resisted communist rule in Yugoslavia for several years after World War II and presented an unsolvable enigma to the communist authorities of that time. They would often hide in caves (local term being the so called škripine) and thus the name Škripari."

"Škripari support the Croatian national football team primarily, as well as other Croatian national teams and Croatian players.":)

The official song of the Škripari is "Igraj, igraj Široki" (Play Široki, Play).

    Honours:

Široki won two Bosnia and Herzegovina championships as well as five First League of Herzeg-Bosnia championships that served as the top football league for Croats clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina until merger into Premier League in 2000. The club also won one Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Cup title in 2007. In the following table defunct competitions are indicated in italics.

I found one verse about devotion of Siroki Brijeg for GNK Dinamo Zagreb:

"Oj Dinamo, 'ko udari na te, s Lištice će pucati granate"

"Oh Dinamo, who hits on you, from Lištica we will shoot grenades".

River Lištica passes through Široki Brijeg. Everyone knew that Croatian clubs suffered during Yugoslavia, many of them were banned just because their coat of arms and colors of jerseys. But Croats would rather accept the ban than to change their Croatian colors and symbols.

Another Croatian club from Bosnia and Herzegovina won in Bosnian national league match against FK Kozara Gradiska (Serbian club). The result was 1-0 for Croatian club. Goal scorer was Slavko Brekalo.

    Standings: http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=bih/nationalleague/standings.html

Siroki Brijeg (eng. Wide Hill) is on the first place. Bosnia and Herzegovina has 16 clubs in their first leauge, Croats have only three clubs.

Protest of Croatian people in Siroki Brijeg: http://www.jutarnji.hr/deset-tisuca...-brijegu--svi-smo-mi-oliver-knezovic-/311640/

SIROKI BRIJEG - More than ten thousand people gathered in a central square in Siroki Brijeg on Friday, organized by Škripari, fan associations, NK Siroki Brijeg, in trying to wash away, she said several speakers, a triple lynching which were exposed on Sunday, and supply requirements for a fair investigation and resignation of those held responsible.

Spiral of evil: In Sarajevo stoned Catholic Church, appeared threatening graffiti

Serbs and Croats are the most dangerous 'fans' in Europe According to the mayor of Prince of Peace and club president Zlatan Mijo Jelic, was the first wide was the victim of hooliganism campaign supporters called Sarajevo Horde of evil in which he lost life Sarajevans Vedrana Puljic, then they have been bombarded for days and screened as savages by metropolitan media, and then the individual senior officials of the Federation of BiH completely sided with the hooligans and show solidarity with the mob.

In particular, several times prozivan Vice Federation Mirsad Kebo, whose every mention causing salve whistle, and at one point and chanting "Kebo Turk ..."

Columns supporters and others who wanted to attend the great protest, which was passed without a single incident, were flowing from morning to Široki Brijeg, we could see all the banners Herzegovina clubs, it was different organizations and from central Bosnia and Posavina, was seen and transparent support from Osijek, but there was a Secretary of Torcida Split Stipe Lekic. - We have not organized anything, I came, I had a Croat - said Lekic.

A variety of the most wore T-shirts with "Life for a broad" or "We are all Oliver 's allusion to Oliver's fugitive Knezovića Puljic murder suspect, was the jersey number of clubs, the someone was on his back, again" in honor of "Mirsad Kebo and wrote "Kebo J. Mater. i". Constantly chanting Široki, Croatia, and Croats, whistled Kebo, but a good part of Croatian politicians in Bosnia, only this time spared Miroslav Ciro Blazevic. Therefore, before beginning your paper greeting restructuring engines delivered numerous group of bikers.

And Zlatan Mijo Jelic, who received an ovation true, he warned of the same "triple lynching" and the equally assailed the Mirsad Kebo, which is on the evening of the incident came to Siroki Brijeg Hordi with a representative of evil, "hooligans adjudicated for assault on police," and the local judicial authorities he immediately came out to meet and freed seven detainees from Sarajevo by Kebo "took home as heroes."

Jelic was reminded of the official recordings of surveillance cameras in the stadium, which clearly show that the people of Sarajevo incident began on Sunday, but he refused to broadcast FTV.

However, the biggest star of the gathering was a representative Škripari Ante Mikulic, noting that in Široki protest for truth and justice, and that Sunday's scuffle with Pecare was not accidental.

    - Assure us that normally runs here with milk and honey, and these things are happening daily. Silence on this idyll will not return - he said Mikulic again denying that they are guests in Sarajevo greeted with stones and guns, but they themselves have staged the incident aware that the majority of police in Mostar.

In addition to being on a set of constant bitterness izražavana behavior Croatian BiH politicians who "conform to the majority or silent, a silence in this case is a betrayal of the city under attack," Mikulic is lined and six major applications Širokobriježana, given the number actually assembled them as such can be characterized.

Thus, of the Ministry of Interior seeking a decent and honest investigation to punish all who are led to riots and loss of young life, then the withdrawal of all charges by Širokobriježanima who are "without any evidence or informed from already condemned," which is obviously an allusion to Knezovića, seeks to investigation who has undergone foot shoot 59-year-old Zeljko Zadro front of his house near the stadium. Further, they requested that the irrevocable resignation of Vice President of the Federation of BiH Mirsad Kebo for solidarity with hooligans and the tarnishing of the Croatian people, the irrevocable resignation of the Director of the Federal Television Zvonimir Jukic due entirely one-sided presentation of events from Sunday and the refusal of broadcasting all the images that prove that the hordes of evil began to incidents.

Finally, bound by the Croatian representatives to read these requirements before the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and they are in writing and sent to the Constitutional Court. - Široki Brijeg is also survived Ottoman rule and in all of Yugoslavia, and with it now - says Mikulic.

'If there are no limits, Croatian spirit no one can stop'
Chief Miro Kraljevic was reminded of the meeting on Friday began at Butmir near Sarajevo and the expectations that Croatians in Bosnia are from this set.

    - I urge all our politicians to unite and defend our vital interests. Croats do not need much if the parties do not care about those who elected them - said the Prince, and chanting "This is Croatia" conciliatory tone, replied: "If there are no limits, Croatian spirit no one can stop."

    Event in Sarajevo: http://www.jutarnji.hr/u-sarajevu-kamenovana-katolicka-crkva--osvanuli-prijeteci-grafiti/311617/

SARAJEVO - Unknown vandals on the night of the 7th on the 8th October in the Sarajevo suburb Briješće stoned the parish church of sv. Leopold Mandic (Croatian church) and left a message on the road '*** The Ustasha mother! R.I.P. Vedran', which suggests that this event is directly linked to fan conflict in Siroki Brijeg, where life is lost Vedran Puljić writes Pincom.info.

Attackers with stones and bottles of beer damaged facade and a window on the north side of the church. According to the testimony of neighbors that happened around 2 o'clock in the morning, after which the perpetrators escaped.

On the tip of the parish priest Rev. Briješće. Pere Brajko, the police came and made an investigation. For offenders in intensive search and retrieval for the purpose of conducting interviews with neighbors and merchants in which vandals were able to buy beer.

Catholic News Agency says the concern that the church in Briješće already several times been the target of attacks like criminals, but never for personal gain.

    - No one ever broke into the church, nor was it stolen from its interior. As per a previously prepared scenario grief north side of the church. One reason is that it is dark and quite sheltered from view of passersby. Anyway, whenever something like this happens correctly the police do their job and catch the perpetrators, but since the sentences are of little or no release them soon. And so the story repeats itself - the pastor said in a statement Brajko for KTA.

Siroki Brijeg, 2 listopada 2011. (Marijana Bosnjak / Vicepostulatura) - Vicepostulatura procedure martyrdom "Father Leo Petrović and 65 brothers," led by vicepostulatorom fra Miljenko Stojic, today is the third staged Siroki Brijeg Symposium on "Stop the slain." The purpose of the symposium is to investigate the murder of 66 Franciscans of Herzegovina in the postwar period during World War II, so that one day could be beatified and canonized. Exploring their death inevitable death of others, research and faithful people who at that time befell a similar fate. This year the program began with Holy Mass at 11.00. Mass was presided by Dr. Fr Robert Jolić, editor of Our homes and suslavili the fra Miljenko Stojic, vicepostulator, and Happy Father Curcic, Širokobriješka guardian. Spoke eloquently Dr. Fr Robert Jolić thanked fra Miljenko Stojic on its research efforts around the lives and circumstances of the death of our friars, in his sermon said that we do not have to hate to remember those who killed innocent people, but remember, that our Franciscan and the rest of the people who gave their lives for the faith and for the survival of his people. Fr Robert has mentioned the late Holy Pope John Paul II. who also felt a strong need today for Christians examples of ordinary people who took their lives for the faith. Commenting on recent events in Udbina, Hrvatskihmučenika consecration of the church, which was attended by Cardinal Josip Bozanic. On that occasion, among other things said that "at the center of Croatian Udbini symbolically collected all the memory of the execution of the Croatian people, that would be present to our spiritual intuition and contemplation of the Cross."

Upon completion of the mass continued program of the symposium presentations, prof. Dr. sc. Branimir Luksic, prof. Dr. sc. Ivo Lucic, and Mr.. Vice Nižić.

First, the fra Miljenko Stojic welcomed everyone and thanked for coming in such an event. Then he called Professor. Dr. sc. Branimir Luksic who had a lecture on the topic Croatian Way of the Cross and the British role in it. He commented on the terrible events that accompanied those innocent people, coincidentally, found in a monstrous punishment without trial. The figures presented here were shocking and the facial expressions was very evident disgust and disbelief. However, when you hear that "According to the British military archives at Bleiburg on the Yugoslav-Austrian border was 200,000 Croatian soldiers and about 500,000 civilians who have come there to surrender to British forces, but the British were faced on the way izručili Tito's communists, who have a large number of them According to British historian Nikolai Tolstoy, murdered in circumstances of wanton savagery, "it would hardly anyone indifferent.

After this presentation was followed by the presentation of prof. Dr. sc. Ivo Lucic on Finding the remains of those killed in World War II and the postwar period and the contribution Vicepostulature procedure martyrdom "Father Leo Petrović and 65 brothers." And here we meet with figures that are devastating to the survival of the Croatian people in our region and therefore it must be something to work on finding those still numerous, victims. And when we take the fact that the Communist Party to the killing justified bettering his people, as one report says, we must not leave any unresolved and hidden underground. Prof. Dr. sc. Ivo Lucic looked back on all those mass graves that were in last just over a year and discovered that clearly showed that it was a violent death that befell those people wrong just because they were Croats, and they did not want to abandon their God.

Third exposure that could be heard at this symposium is the presentation of Mr. Vice Nižić. He commented on the work of Commissions for editing and marking graves from World War II and postwar in municipalities Siroki Brijeg, Ljubuški, Neum, Posušje and Busovaca. Here we listened to five committees, namely the Commission in the five municipalities, for the work. We got a cross-section of all projects that have worked and who is ahead, and eventually Mr. Nižić the opportunity to urge "and other municipalities to initiate the procedure for municipal councils on the establishment of committees to explore the graveyard in the area of their municipality, because we all known that at the end and after the Second World War, committed horrible crimes against the Croatian people."

We were all pleasantly surprised when our Father Miljenko said he was among us and Bishop Mile Bogovic. Otherwise, he Gospic-Senj bishop and church historian. Of course, Father Miljenko asked him to let us know what he did, saying he came to see that all over and go to hear something inspiring that could be applied in Croatia. He commended the establishment of commissions in municipalities and expressed the hope that something similar started in Croatia. We, on this side of the border, we sincerely hope that it will be possible. They did not hide the fact that anything that is called Croatian, and even while the Christian, meets resistance. But he added that despite the need to continue working.

Mostar, 24 January 2005. - Soon the month of February when reading Necrologue in our monasteries the longest duration. In this month of the 1945th most of our friars of the Province was mercilessly executed. Guilt them was that the Catholic monks. Were executed, ie, "In odium fidei." Most of them are executed in a single day in our fraternity in Siroki Brijeg.
The enemies of our faith, with bullet in head and burning the twelve professors of the famous high school Širokobriješka 7th veljače 1945. in Siroki Brijeg, they wanted to stab in the heart of our province and destroyed in the monastery where it originated. No, it happened just the opposite to their expectation. Siroki Brijeg, 27 August 2011. (Velimir Mabić / ABCportal.info) - Testimony Mate Sesar, members of the Ustasha Railway Battalion and the still living participants of heavy and bloody fighting in defense of Siroki Brijeg the criminal communist-partisan conquerors and occupiers end of 1944.

In early 1945, in the 25th Buhovo August completed filming of a documentary film about these days is probably the most disastrous in the history of Siroki Brijeg. Award-winning author, director and producer Christoph Boekel, a professional cameraman Axel Brandt, and official translator, master of historical sciences (preparation of a doctoral dissertation on the history of the twentieth century) who works as an assistant at the University of Bern, Sanela Hodzic, three days filming shots for this latest Boekel documentary that will have a central interest of the final battle just before the fall of Siroki Brijeg, with special emphasis on fighting the tobacco station in the last three days of defense against communist-partisan invaders and occupiers, on days 6, 7 and 8 veljače 1945.

Foreign film crew wanted to have a documentary about Siroki Brijeg.

What is affected and how does it happen that an author, director and producer Christoph Boekel make a documentary here in Siroki Brijeg? First things first!

Lt. Walter Boekel, father of director Christophe, in the Second World War he was a member of the 369th Devil's Division. German soldiers in uniform lieutenant Boekel visited almost all the battlefields of World War II. In fact, a war story began in France, then was transferred to Russia, from Russia across Belgium, France and Italy moved to North Africa where he was severely wounded. After being injured African was transported for treatment in Germany, and when it healed up in May 1944th was sent to assist in southern Dalmatia, in this strategically important route for the extension of German troops from Greece. Upon arrival in Slano landed on the plateau above the village Rudine, where they soon must draw to Neum, where wolves in mid-gorge in severe skirmish killed almost all his colleagues and left without weapons.

Over Metkovic and Ljubuški Lieutenant Boekel finally in October 1944. came to Siroki Brijeg, in whose defense will participate until the very end, and its final collapse and fall. On the day of the fall of Siroki Brijeg, in heavy fighting for the tobacco station, the shrapnel was severely wounded in the lung (2 cm below the heart) where it Periša Pero Mandic and Dragan Mandic, the father and uncle of eighty-two years of witness Dragan Mandic who has recently witnessed the horrific events of the 1945th, the makeshift stretcher carried across the river ballots and deliver to the former hospital nuns (later "police station") where it is folded (and probably operated to give him a piece of shrapnel removed).

Chariot German medical corps lieutenant Boekel thence was transferred to Knespolje where he also served ambulance where he remained for some time, and hence continues to Mostar, then to Sarajevo, to the Slavonski Brod moved the train that took him to Baden-Wurttemberg and gender He Göppingen. He died at the ripe old age 1999th (At 81 years of age).

Christoph Boekel, son of Lieutenant Walter, author, producer and director, had the idea to go to war with his father and make a documentary film. Following the war the way his father, the first documentary film entitled "Die Spur des Vaters" ("Father's footsteps") co-produced by ZDF and Eikon Film 1989th, Christoph Boekel recorded in Russia in the area where he fought his father.

This recording of Siroki Brijeg other parts of the documentary film that addresses the same topic, the war path of his father, Lieutenant Walter Boekel. Before coming to Siroki Brijeg film crew shooting carried out in Slavonski Brod, a reloading his father to train on the train.

Otherwise, author, director and producer Christoph Boekel graduated from the College of Television and Film Munich (HFF) after which establishes "Baum film" and has since independently wrote, directed and produced. Among other things, an assistant professor at the German Academy for Film and Television in Berlin. Christoph Boekel has so far done 14 documentaries, a holder of five prestigious awards for documentary film that is worthy in his homeland Germany (one of which is also a kind of German "Oscar for the documentary film"), won four awards in America, and one in Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Portugal, Turkey and England.

Another member of the film crew Axel Brandt, first studied theology at Hamburg, then moved to the German Academy for Film and Television in Berlin. Independent is the cinematographer for movies and documentaries, and in particular specializes in premium "Prime Time" documentary for ARD and ZDF. Photography is director of ZDF, NDR, BR and TSR. Among others, filming the movie "Hitler and Stalin - a portrait of hostility," "Walter Merz - a man who does not give up," "Revenge Mielkina Stasi officer Werner heavy", "We are from" out there "- a" parasite "in the world" etc.

Masters degree in history Anela Hodzic, an official translator during this shoot, she studied history in Munich and Florence, a master's degree in 2006. the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich. He has since worked as an assistant at the University of Bern, where she is preparing her doctoral dissertation in the history of the twentieth century. All three members of the film crew guarantee that the job be done well and efficiently.

In the past three days, besides the already mentioned Ustasha Mate Sesar of Buhovo, their testimonies were given and Berislav Topic, Charles Kutle, Mirko Mandic and Dragan Mandic from Siroki Brijeg and Drago Ćavar from Knespolje, a record testimony Goddess Kopilaš is scheduled to return to film teams from the Stone a few days. In the preparation and organization of the shooting, finding witnesses and getting around the area of Siroki Brijeg, "filmmakers" were on hand were members of Siroki Brijeg Commission for Research and marking graves of World War II and postwar Mile Lasic and Velimir Mabić led by President Pero Kozul and vicepostulator Vicepostulature procedure martyrdom "Father Leo Petrović and 65 brothers" fra Miljenko Stojic.

Very pleased with the hospitality, and job well done, Christoph Boekel was warmly thanked the enigmatic smile has accepted our invitation to the next "Mediterranean Film Festival" (MFF) course in the category of customer. Hosts at the end, after a few drinks and relax, yet somehow managed to persuade a German sympathetic to our promises to come to the next MFF.

This movie will represent horrible communist crimes and methods in Siroki Brijeg.

    Historical circumstances

Members of various military, militia and other organizations, organized and run by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ) killed 511 people from the structure of the Catholic Church. Of that number, 184 were from Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the Second World War, members of different partisan units killed 314 Catholic priests, and after the war during the Communist Party government has killed more 118 people the church.

On the Way of the Cross of the members of the partisan units were killed 64, while on military service for 15 church people. Suffering priests certainly were not random, sporadic, they are usually planned and are usually accompanied by intense propaganda. Can serve as an illustration of the article from the struggle of 8 veljače 1945., which was taken in Trebinje (Mostar) Freedom.

The article is titled Ustasha villains in Fratarski cassock, and the end of the article full of hatred and lunches writes: "Against the butchers in Friar cassock our people's government shall take the necessary measures to our people in Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure a quiet and peaceable life."

The article is probably written in the 7 . February when the communist partisans killed Široki Brijeg monks. Just a few days later, when entering the partisan units in Mostar, killed the Provincial of the Herzegovinian Franciscan Province of Leo Petrović and six monks. Fr Mark Barbaric - Lesko, sick and immobile old man, partisans took to the shelter and killed with the other monks Siroki Brijeg monastery. His murder demonstrates how important they were supposed political or any other sins, for the death penalty was enough to be a priest."

Neither the nuns were not spared by the communist repression. Regina Milas was executed in Capljina. From Siroki Brijeg driven out in February, 10 nurses, after they killed the monks, on the truck to Split, where for a time were housed at the Sisters Split Province. The other sisters remained in their homes, placed in small rooms. The houses were nationalized them, and then the 1949th ejected from them.

Immediately after the war the Communist Party initiated the printing of books that were used to compromise the Church, as well as a cover for repression of the clergy. The church is at party gatherings branded hostile organization, the articles were printed in newspapers, anticrkvene sung songs and the like! Even 75 Catholic priests, of whom 52 were Croats, who have collaborated with the partisans and had the status of the participants of the National Liberation struggle, not helped in the general assessment of the Catholic Church. Nor the 43 Catholic priests, of whom 18 were Croats, who during the war as a partisan colleagues killed Chetniks, Ustashi, or members of the German and Italian troops.

Particularly difficult was the position of the Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Croats are Catholics identified with the Croatian state, but also marked defeated the Ustasha regime. Each term is denoted Croationhood Ustashism.

In the first period after taking power in the Croatian areas of Herzegovina, the Yugoslav Communist Party was appointed trustees, whose task was to deceive the order, to assert authority and simultaneously form a party cell. Usually, these commissioners were partisan officers, and most officers of the Department to protect the people (OZN).

(According to the article, Dr. Ivo Lucic "Communist repression of the Catholic Church in BiH / 1945th-1990th /" in Stolac the cultural spring, VI. Matica Croatia, Chair, 2008., P.. 71st-92nd)

On these pages we will endeavor to provide materials that will help you facilitate the conclusion of the mosaic relationship of Communists to the Church in this period. This is also the attitude towards the Croatian people who are mostly Catholic.

Croatian declaration which was made in Croatian Parliament agreed that communism is an criminal act of violence and breaking of human rights:

    Google Translator: http://www.pobijeni.info/povijesneokolnosti/clanak/6

Declaration on the condemnation of the crimes committed during the totalitarian communist order in Croatia 1945th - 1990.

    Sunday, 16 August 2009. | Documents

1st The totalitarian communist regimes which ruled in Central and Eastern Europe in the last century, and who are still in power in several countries around the world, were, without exception, marked by mass injuries of human rights.

2nd Violations of human rights differed depending on culture, country and historical period, and included individual and collective assassinations and executions, death in concentration camps, starvation, deportation, torture, forced labor and other forms of mass physical and psychological terror, persecution on ethnic and religious basis, violation of freedom of conscience, thought and expression, freedom of the press and also a lack of political pluralism.

3rd Crimes of Communism were justified in the name of "theory" of class struggle and the principle of dictatorship of the workers (proletariat). The interpretation of both principles legitimized the "elimination" of people who are considered dangerous to build a new society and, as such, enemies of the totalitarian communist regime. A large number of victims in each country were citizens of that country.

4th The fall of totalitarian communist regimes (regimes) in Central and Eastern Europe was not in all cases, even in the case of the Croatian, followed by national and / or international investigations of crimes that were committed by these regimes. Indeed, the perpetrators of these crimes are brought to the international community, as was the case with the atrocities committed by National Socialism (Nazism).

5th As a result, it is very low awareness of the former communist countries, including the Croatian public about the crimes committed by totalitarian communist regimes. Communist parties are legal and active in some countries, although in some cases they have not distanced themselves from the crimes committed by totalitarian communist regimes in the past.

6th Croatian Parliament is convinced that knowledge and awareness of people about the historical events of one of the preconditions to avoid similar atrocities in the future. Indeed, moral assessment and condemnation of crimes committed play an important role in educating the young generation. The clear position of the international and national communities for the past can and should be a guideline for our future actions.

7th Croatian Parliament believes that victims of crimes of totalitarian communist regimes who are still alive or their families, deserve sympathy, understanding and recognition of their suffering.

8th Totalitarian communist regimes are still active in some countries and the crimes still occur. Perceptions of national interest should not prevent countries from adequate criticism of the current totalitarian communist regimes. Croatian Parliament strongly condemns all those violations of human rights.

9th The debates and condemnations - which have so far carried out at national level, some Member States of the Council of Europe, as well as the condemnation of crimes of totalitarian communist contained in the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the international condemnation of crimes of totalitarian communist regimes (regimes) - and committed by the Croatian Parliament to condemn each and all crimes in the name of totalitarian Communism committed against Croats and Croatian citizens in the country and the world.

10th Croatian Parliament supported the decision of the Council of Europe that it is precisely these institutions (Council of Europe) is a forum for discussion and condemnation of the crimes of communism at the international level. Almost all former European communist countries are now members and the protection of human rights and the rule of law are basic values for which it holds the Council of Europe. Meanwhile, the Croatian Parliament considers that he should become a key national institution for the condemnation of the crimes of the Yugoslav and Croatian totalitarian communism, and to systematically study the history of these crimes should be addressed by the scientific and judicial institutions.

11th Therefore, the Croatian Parliament joins the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly strongly condemned the mass violations of human rights by totalitarian communist regimes and expresses sympathy, understanding and recognition of the victims of these crimes in Croatia, Europe and worldwide.

12th Croatian Parliament joins the call by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe sent to all communist or post-communist parties to their own countries, if they have not done so, re-evaluate the history of communism and their own past, clearly distance themselves from the crimes committed by totalitarian communist regimes and to condemn them without any ambiguity.

13th Croatian Parliament shares the belief of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe that this clear position of the international community to enable further reconciliation. Indeed, it will be possible to encourage historians throughout the world to continue their research aimed at determining the objective verification of what had happened.
