Just sent this email out to our email list. In case any of you are interested and not on it: Based off the success of our first bus trip to Washington, DC last October, we are exploring the option of running another bus trip this year to Washington, DC for the Weds, 10/14/2009 World Cup Qualifier vs Costa Rica. This game could mean the difference between going to the World Cup and watching it from home. Since this is a midweek game, we want to get an approximate number of people interested so we know whether or not to go ahead with the trip. For those of you who went last year and even those who did not, here are pictures and our match report to remind you of what a good time we all had: Return of the NJB Goes to Washington (10/11/08) The price of the bus is looking to be the same as last time $85, which will also include a ticket in the US Supporters Section ($45 value). Chef Leon will be on hand to prepare the tailgate and will we feast on Tacos before we feast on the Ticos. **If the bus is sold out, everyone will be able to partake in the tailgate for free. Otherwise, there will be a $5 fee to enjoy the good eats. We will be showing the classic 97 WCQ vs Costa Rica in Portland, Oregon on the way down and will be showing 'Miracle Match' (the movie of the 1950 USA World Cup Team) on the way home. We will also have some prizes, including a 1990 US replica jersey and a 50/50 raffle the way down. If you know you are 100% going no matter what, please reply to this email letting us know that you are "IN". If you are not 100% sure but are interested in going, please reply to this email with a "MAYBE". If you know you are going to take the bus but already have a ticket, please reply to this email with "BUS ONLY". If you know you are going to the game but not taking the bus but want to get tickets with our group, please reply with "TICKET ONLY". If you can't make the trip at all but would like to donate a prize or some funds to the cause, please let us know. Based off these replies we will determine whether or not to do the bus trip. US Soccer is giving us until Friday to order tickets so please reply by Wednesday if you can. Can Boston residents take this bus? We'll probably be out of the playoffs by then and all you Yankee fans can laugh at us.
please be warned, there might be some mets fans on the bus too, so an accident or injuries are most likely to occur
If anyone needs supplies for the trip. Check this place out. http://www.revolutionwear.net and http://www.sevenbros.com/
