Those four teams in Colorado appear to be moving over from the Mountain Premier League. They're hoping to add a couple of teams in Colorado and backfill the MPL.
Gosh, that's bad. The story, I mean. It's so poorly written. "The federation are willing to give NISA more time to fulfill the designated benchmarks, according to our sources." There goes USSF, giving slipshod leagues more time to figure it out. Classic misdirection play!
I hadn't paid a lick of attention to any of this until I was looking at Open Cup scores tonight and realized the make believe league had finally gone away.

NISA Commissioner John Prutch Has Stepped Down This doesn't look great for their mid to late April season start.
They said a while back that they would not be able to compete in the Open Cup this year. I think they will last three more seasons. Spring, Summer and Fall.
Shocker, the April return to season play will not happen. What they are planning is a NISA Pro Cup tournament supposedly coming this fall with now a 2026(!) full season restart. With no teams announced With no players With no centralized leadership, staffers With no sanctioning from US Soccer
