This was one of the complaints when Detroit City left for USL. What's the over/under on NISA returning in 2024?

More like 6 feet under :D

NASL. = Gone for a while
NISA =. Going, going, gone (?)
NPSL=. Around. But so much for the 3 tier system they would trying to build

Best teams of NISA and maybe even NPSL should consider USL-1 or 2 or heck, even MLS-Next Pro as an independent. Get rid of a few leagues/levels to clean up our "pyramid"

Screw that. What's the over/under of them folding in 2023? I'll take the under.

anyone familiar with Michigan Stars? Does owner have the finances to go to USL1? Talent level? I may soon have a vested interest in this...
Sad the negativity on this league every year... Support the local product people!!!

I hear the owner bought the team to give his sons somewhere to play, so I don't know if he'd be interested in forking out a USL expansion fee.

Detroit City might have something to say about USL marketing rights but if I were them I'd embrace a local competitor.

So on MLS website, states Chattanooga FC going to MLS Next Pro and earlier it was Jacksonville joining.
Seems MLS is now playing hard ball in many smaller markets now.

    Why "hard ball"?

Chattanooga FC can't join USL because of the Red Wolves

I am fine if CFC called up MLS and said can we join.
That hopefully is one more nail in NISA's coffin.
I just think that MLS has ulterior motives for taking on all these independents into its D3 league.

We need these independent leagues... Embrace the nuttiness of NISA!
What happens to Chattanooga players over the age of 20,?
I have no need for mlsnpro...spoiled brats playing in empty stadiums, no rivalries ..
Get off your ass. Find a lower tier independent league,/team to get behind. Buy some merch and go to a game. Find a player to cheer for

You don't have to be under a certain age to play in Next Pro.

Also, the "no rivalries" comment tells me he's never watched a Heck Is Plausible game or this year's Columbus-Austin MLSNP Cup.

I could not find a average attendance for the league...
Average age is like 18.9 from info I found...
I tried to watch games twice... Couldn't do it, just nothing there to pull me in.
And I'm biased after being in associated club where mlsnext kids are sheltered and their spots protected.

MLS expanding dominance is not good

For MLS Next Pro or NISA?

I think NISA stopped announcing because it was too embarrassing. I think I read that Chattanooga FC get about 2,500.

Next Pro or NISA?. I'd be surprised if teens are skipping scholarships to make $100 a week in NISA.

I don't think Next Pro is an attempt to take the lower division market. It's a place to field academy graduates and reserves. I'm order to be registered as a professional league they had to meet D3 Professional League Standards and they've opened up the league to independents. That could one day include USL reserve teams.

They don't seem to be trying to tie teams down through franchise or exit fees, which makes me think it's not a land grab. TBH I don't think MLS has given the business aspect much thought.

Do the PLS effectively ban pure reserve/farm leagues ("reserve" being all Euro-style "2" teams, "farm" being American-style teams stocked entirely by the parent club but separately marketed as a business - a la minor league baseball)?

Is there any type of rivalry among Flower City Union and Rochester Rhinos (RNYFC?) or are they all the same fans supporting both?

They dissolved? I thought that they took a temporary (indefinite) pause in operations. I assumed they would return to MLSNP within the near future.
