The franchise fee for USL-C is now over $10 million. The other expenses to start can be up to $10 million depending on the stadium situation. USL League One (3rd division) is reported to cost $3 to $7 million to get started.
I can't see the college draft going away completely. The country is too big for academies to completely cover an there are also foreign players who pursue US college soccer.
Championship is $12 million, up from $1 million in 2015. League One expansion fee was $2 million last time I read up on it.
Knights Who Say NISA @KnightsWhoNISA 15h received word that on the @ChattanoogaFC owner's call this week, the board rep said CFC is committed to playing in NISA for 2023. No mention of beyond that or if other opportunities are being explored.
-------------------- If NISA finally dies a slow death, CFC would be in a pickle. USL-1 already in Chattanooga with its own SSS. Could CFC jump to USL-C? Could they merge resources with the USL-1 team (doubtful) or would they relocate or simply go out of business?
--------------------- Kind of forgot about them, they are probably more stable than NISA at this point
