Fun times. So the LA Force, Michigan, 1904FC, and arguably Detroit are apparently still vagabonds/high school tenants and the Cal United team are playing in the same stadium as the higher level OCSC. Flip side, the Chicago team ended up with nice digs in Bridgeview. Lets hope it works better for them than it did MLS.
Have you seen their ticket prices? It's unreasonably expensive for a D3 team. The rent at SeatGeek did not come cheap.
Oh I was being facetious. There are very few teams in NISA that aren't a stadium based shitshow for one reason or another. Between high rent former MLS venues, high school stadiums, or being a third rate tenant of a better team I'd really think on Maryland, Stumptown and maybe Chattanooga have decent stadium options in place.
Detroit's situation is really different than "high school tenant". Stars are also a little different since they're itinerant due to the fact their stadium being under construction. "High school tenant" only really applied to SD1904, and, honestly, that's an upgrade over where they played in the spring. Not totally sure what your expected stadium situation at this level is, but it seems a little detached from reality. Even USL1 has "high school tenants".
That really depends on the specific stadium. Detroit’s stadium is owned by Hamtramck Schools, but they can sell beer. Same with OKC Energy’s stadium. The Triumph, I believe, have a beer garden. The Red Wolves also played at a high school stadium their first season, but even though it was private, it was a Christian school and they wouldn’t let them sell beer. This was the primary reason they moved into their new stadium early, even though it was barely more than a construction site. Tormenta play in a college stadium, but I think they also can only sell beer in a beer garden area. So it’s possible 1904 might able to arrange something like that, but still not ideal. Not a whole lot of alternatives in San Diego, though.
Final. @NAFCNY with the W. Big night for Shavon John-Brown. #NISASP21 pic.twitter.com/Y2HumTselu— NISA Official (@NISALeague) June 17, 2021 Congratulations to New Amsterdam for recording their first ever league win (in, I think, 17 games), killing any chance for Aught Four to catch LA Force to qualify for the spring semifinal
Not quite right… first win in nineteen tries: 318 days ago, New Amsterdam FC stepped on the field for it's first match against the New York Cosmos in the NISA Independent Cup. Since then and through all #NISA competitions the team has gone 0-3-16.That ended tonight with #NAFC beating San Diego 1904 FC, 4-1. #NISASP21 https://t.co/VVIDFI2I1S— Michael Battista (@MichaelBattista) June 17, 2021
Wouldn't they be relegated in NISA's make-believe open system? But hey, congrats on getting the better record than Wynalda's.
I had thought that LA Force had a gimme in their last game with a chance to finish legitimately on top of the table (on the chance that Chattanooga beats Detroit), but now it doesn’t seem like such a lock.
True, although given that the Teamsterzzzz are still planning on joining the current league in the spring, I think you have to assume that there is no lower one can possibly go at that point. This is truly the bottom.

This shouldn’t happen in a league that calls itself professional. What makes it worse and extremely unprofessional is LA was delcared the winner. Game should be replayed do to LA’s incompetence. 1406455841750933508 is not a valid tweet id
Seems crazy that no one could spring for a Farmer’s Almanac to let them know when to kick off two hours before sunset. LA Force is an absolute enigma: clearly they’re a huge organization with youth teams and NPSL, UPSL, and USL2 teams, and are currently on top of the NISA table, but what the actual hell.
