Could this kid help the Metros? The article only mentions New England and KC, but if Baker is any good, this is a position where we need a player more than they do.

I was thinking the exact same thing when i read this article on Baker.... he seems like exactly what we need on the wing. Hopefully NE won't have any intrest in replacing Ralston with Baker(i'm pretty sure he plays right wing) and the Metros keep tabs on him and offer him a trial.

Why wouldn't we use our Clint alottment on checking out a guy like this?? I am sure Bob has already scouted him and just taking his time as always. Has to better than JuskSlow or Edgar.

Raise your hand if you ever saw him play. Bueller? Bueller?

Well, he doesn't have to be better than those two. The league he's been tearing up is being described by at least one Irishman on the Rev's board as on a par with the English 2nd Division. That doesn't mean that he can't be a stud in MLS, but it isn't that likely. Still, he's going to be over here on trial anyway, so I hope Bradley and Co. take a look at him. He plays a position where we really could use the help.

No i have never seen him play but being eircom player of the year two times shows he has some talent... that acheivement alone makes him worthy of at least a trial..no?? the fact that he plays right wing (which is one of the spots we definalty need help in) is just a plus...no??

First off, Baker is not from Northern Ireland - he was born in Dublin, and has been capped at youth level for the Republic of Ireland...

... and his girlfriend happens to live in Boston, the Revs have a need for added depth in midfield, while New England also owns an allocation stemming from the departure of Daniel Hernandez mid-season.

Who knows where he'll end up, if anywhere, but New England is getting a first look.
