He's an '00 who scored 5 goals for Kalmar's first team last season and appears to have been born in Dallas. Looks like he's been in Sweden for several years though I came across one site that said he also spent some time in Montreal.

However, it looks like he may be provisionally cap-tied to Sweden, perhaps via UEFA U-21 qualifying matches. In one match, against Ireland, he played with Jens Cajuste.

This 2018 story has a bit more on his career, though nothing on the U.S. or Canada for that matter.

Also, it looks like he may be on the radar of some bigger clubs, perhaps including Udinese, Basel, and AZ.

    Let's update the title to:

Nils Froling at Hansa Rostock (Germany)

(The BS search function won't find his name with the accent using "Froling" so it makes more sense to using old school ASCII for titles).

    Thanks.

We missed Froling scoring a brace in his second start (3rd match) for Hansa Rostock as they demolished Dynamo Dresden 4-1 in an historic win. It was Hansa's first away victory at Dresden in 39 years! Froling scored his goals in the 10th and 13th minute in route to the victory. I saw his first goal on Twitter, a sweet little header hit downward skipping right past the GK. He's definitely hit the ground running with Hansa and generated a buzz with the fans. Hansa sit a respectable 12th - in the super tight 2nd Bundesliga table - after being promoted. Froling is worth keeping an eye on.

Here are the highlights. The header mentioned above was Hansa's second goal and their third was also his, cleaning up a rebound.

Malones on the club too btw. Would be cool if they stay up in the 2nd. Competing next year.

They are only 5 points at 12th from relegation. Its a tough race this year as it is very tight in the 2nd BL this year.
