water and a towel (i use towel) or tooth brush seems to do the job. make sure you clean them at least once a week. this will ensure longer life.

Whether you clean synthetics or not doesn't really make a difference. Synthetics won't rot or dry out

I wear the silver vapors. They're really light and feel very nice after you've broken them in. The down side is that there isnt much material to them so if you get stepped on it's gonna be pretty painful. They're also crazy easy to clean. I just run them under water and rub them with a towel.

With that being said, most people either love or hate the vapors. Make sure you get the newer ones with the padded heel if you can as well. The first few weeks I wore mine I got terrible blisters and they weren't nearly as comfortable as my leather cleats.

Also, try ebay. You can get some great deals on there. Right now they're selling the old black vapors for 109 plus shipping brand new.

I had the old black vapors and I liked them a lot even though they gave me blisters under my big toe for about a week but that has been improved with extra padding in the new ones as well.

I ordered the Chrome vapors taody and I will have them tomorrow through next day shipping,I will give you guys the low down on how they look in person and what not.

Oh Ben16 they have a K-Leather Vapor coming out late summer/ early fall it looks real good and I am sure has a bit more protection for your feet from getting steped on,which was the only long term down side to my old vapors as well

Like I said, try all of them on...but I'd recommend the T90 II's over the Vapors simply because theres lots of ruckus down the middle of the park...like some have said there isn't muich between a cleat and your feet.

If you play center mid, I reccomend the Total 90s or any nice leather cleat. The Total 90 K leathers would be good. I have the white/red T90 II's, and it is somewhat painful when you get stepped on, so you might want some leather. You get used to it after a while though, so whatever floats your boat......

I sent my Chrome vapors back to Eurosport, they just felt funky on my foot. I think i am too heavy for the boot because the stud pressure was real bad it felt like my foot was going to bust through the bottom of the boot.

On the other hand though they did look real good I was dissapointed that they didnt feel good because I wanted to keep them.

I ended up just getting some Tiempo Permiers to replace them, I got the indoor and outdoor fg's for as much as I spent on the Vapor and they feel much better than the Vapors anyway.

thats the only kind of vapor that has felt like that on your foot? I wonder if the paint, or material has to be handled differently, which calls for a weaker outsole....

Too bad, these are probably the coolest looking cleats ever. (Of course if you have skills to match :))

The shoes paint didn't seem to cause any of the problems I encountered, I added a little more weight to my frame(on purpose) and that may have caused the extra pressure on my foot I think I may just be too heavy for such a "thin" shoe now. I tried on the balck and the orange vapor when i bought my Tiempo Permiers on Sat. and they felt the same as the chrome.

I guess I am just not cut out for that boot. The Tiempo and the Total 90 ll's seem to offer me a better fit and support as well so I am just going to stick with them.

Oh and the chrome didn't apper to be painted on or hard like on the chrome ball, it looked great and I didn't think it would peel off, I would guess they will stay bright and flashy through out the life of the shoe.

My son wears the Vapers. He is 6'3" and 188 lbs and doesn't complain about them being too thin for his weight. He likes the feel of them and the touch he has on the ball -- he did say that they are very different feeling on the ball. When he first got them, he said that he kept miss hitting the ball -- but I couldn't tell you technically what was happening. It just swerved differently.

His only complaint is that they rub his heal. He just tapes to prevent blisters.

I have the same problem as kevbrunton's son did and I'm a very similar size, 6'1" and 170. I got real bad blisters at first but I solved the problem by wearing a lowcut pair of socks under my soccer socks. It also helps to add a little protection in case I do get my feet stepped on.

Also, I've never seen the orange vapors but the pictures I've seen of them look great. What do you think of them? Is the color nice? How does the heel feel in comparison to the original vapors that offered very little padding on the heel? Thanks.

I am 6 ft 190lbs so I guess we are all in the same range, I do have a wider foot though that may have caused some of the stress to the sole as well, everyones body distributes their weight in a different way, my foot to ground impact tends to be on the harder side when I sprint so that causes extra pressure on my feet even more so whe the ground is hard, I had a stress fracture in my foot tht stemed from my foot strike impact last summer.

I was having a little bit of a problem getting a true hit on the ball as well it seemd like it was coming off the outside of my boot more than I wanted it to.

The Orange Vapors look real good if you like bright shoes, they are very loud the color looks good and has a bit of a sparkle in it kind of like the first black ones when they got wet there was almost a green tint to them.

The pics I have seen don't do the true color justice, they are more of a orange like a road crew workers jacket than the duller pics in Eurosport. the heel is a bit better padded and the boot is easier to get on and off beacuse ti doesn't fold up in the back like the old one did.

I was watching a highlights show of the EPL and saw in the match vs Manu, Henry was wearing white boots,

Here's a pic link and I'm pretty sure they're white vapors, maybe a special pair for him or something coz they don't look chrome at all.

would be good if NikeID allowed you to choose any colour u want..Red, Green etc as surely they can manufacture nike skin in any colour...
