The boot must have quite a bit more space now though, right?

I'd imagine they just fit like the MVIIs now.

Hey... can any of y'all give me a picture of what you guys are talking about??? i already got a big blister on my left heel after practising with my MVIII!

Seems like that would solve my problem!

All the previous Vapors had external heel counters. Since the MVIII are the first to have an internal heel counter Nike (intended to) counter blistering by putting a yellow foam cup on the inside. If you literally look inside the boot you will see it, it is impossible to miss. Since the foam rides up right inside the heel that is what causes the blisters.

This is before I did my MVIII's. The heel is glued in in a similar fashion to the red lines I have put on the pic. If you score along the inside of the heel cup with a fairly sharp knife it will flap off, then you can simply cut it with a pair of scissors. The result is this:

Your heel is still held in place by the foam at the bottom, but the offending piece of foam causing the heel blisters is gone, leaving you to play without pain. Voila.

I don't know why they changed the heel - the cushioning on the latter versions of the MVII was excellent!

IMO the heels design was a hit or miss on the MV I/II+AZT 90 III. The vapors felt like a dream on the foot, but both my heels would end up with blisters the size of nickels (about 5/8" in diameter).

Cutting the foam is genius though, the heel is thick as is and with the foam protruding out like that it could cause discomfort.

So, my leather supremacies came from eurosport today and like expected, the leather is not as soft as the absolutes out of the box. I would compare it more to the pulses. The leather is actually really thin and I like how nike did the tongue and the lacing on these. It leaves a lot less clutter, so my foot feels closer to the ball. I have practice tomorrow so I'll see how they break-in. I'll try to get picks up this weekend too.

Here's a question are they softer than Legends at least?

Well I think they should at least offer an AZTII sole as the SG option on NikeID, then keep the FG sole the same. Are they actually called Laser 90, or AZT V Laser? Maybe this may well be the end of the Air Zoom Total 90 range...

Out of the box, no I dont think they are, but I think when they break-in I think they will give a much closer and cleaner touch. We'll just have to wait and see:)

Any plans for a leather vapor? I can't stand the synthetic when it's wet out.

They do look like a shiny version of the navy/silver MVII that I have.

If this pair were actually in that hue and colour tone, that would look bloody sexy... too bad, somebody doesn't know how to use Photoshop for this picture! (speaking of whomever took it, of course)

I have the Mercurial Vapor III Royal and I have had them for about 6 months and I have scuff marks and some wrinkles on the shoes...Is there any way to get the scuff marks out and also get the wrinkles out?

The creases don't come out I'm afraid, that is the synthetic moulding to your feet. In terms of the scratches, you can try the nail polish remover trick - however I tried this on my platinum Vapors and this took the colour off. I haven't tried it on my Royal ones as they aren't really scratched so that is at your own risk matey.

Yeah but takes a while, but depends how hard you play in them. There no way near as soft as absolutes but they have there advantages. It took me about 3 games for them to fully adjust to my feet. I also have the new absolutes now but havnt worn them yet feel softer though but arnt as nicer fit as the nikes.
