I bought the expensive one and used it in a match (the referee laughed at me for doing so but allowed it) found it difficult to breath so took it off after 10 mins. I was wearing an l/xl so not sure if it a sizing thing or what
Does anyone know any place where I can get a pair of Tiempos with the older AG-R plate? Colour doesn't matter, as long as it's in 7.5 UK
Unexpected Sizing issue: Nike Premier FG 1 vs. Nike Premier FG 2 Has anyone else had this problem? I ordered the Premier 2, in the same size as my Nike Premier 1. (Both size 11.5 US). And the Premier 2 is shorter in length, by about 1/3". My toe is right on the end of it. These may not work out for me, unless the leather "gives" just a touch. So frustrating, since they were from Ebay, with no returns. Have never ordered size 12 US soccer shoes before, what a surprise.
That is weird. Not quite the same but, I had a pair of Premier 1 that were a bit too big for me, and when I got the Premier 2 I went down half a size. They did give me some discomfort in at the start, but started feeling very good after a couple of wears. Usually when a leather boot is too tight for me, I'll wear them with three pair of socks to a foot bath in lukewarm water. The leather should stretch sufficiently.
Well that is good news. I know Copa's can stretch about 0.5-1 sizes, depending on the situation. Some other K-leather boots, will also "give" in length, just enough, (all I need is about 1/5"). Since the Nike Premier has synthetic in the rear part of the boot, I'm worried it won't. Will give it a shot though, it is almost there. Don't want to submerge them, but will try double-socks, and playing in wet conditions. Or, if there is no rain, bring a bunch of water with me, and keep getting them wet manually. Thanks for the tip, I am going to try to stretch them out, just a touch.
I had that issue with my premiers too. Unfortunately I couldn't get them to stretch and I had to stop wearing them.
Damn, see that was what I was worried about. Thanks for the tip, that is helpful for my situation. Its not "bad news", since I am seeking awareness. Might just sell 'em on Ebay, since they haven't been worn yet.
Yea, pretty amused by this. Don't think the T90 Lasers were THAT much of a classic tbh to actually pull of a remake.
The only thing classic about it was the x-ray foot on the bottom. I think it just shows that boot companies are running out ideas for new models considering how many re-releases they are doing. Same with Adidas. It's actually not something to get excited about anymore yes, the numbers are limited but you know they will just bring out the boot again in another colourway at some stage. As for the snood. I think the more expensive one is made out of much thicker material. That is what put me off it a bit because I know I can get warm in a regular fleece snood. But the cheaper one is much thinner. Still not convinced with it. And I have to admit its been cold here and I haven't worn it I've opted for a regular one. appleCORR
There is sooo much hype around remakes which seems to come out every other month. Everyone is losing their minds about these even though they were not that popular back in the day. I guess social media and so called INFLUENCERS are the driving force for remakes. I love remakes just as anyone else but I feel it is just getting out of hand with these remakes. Just make proper boots and a create an iconic boot for today. I always wonder 10-20 years from now which model will be remade?????
Yea, I really don't get it. If they re-released the CTRs I'd still get it because they were pretty popular, but the Laser? that's pretty weird. I'd go with Hypervenom 1 and definitely the Obras, because they launched the sock race.
Even now with some of the re-releases they are just getting sloppy. They are just doing a paint job on the most recent model. I think it just shows how boot development is going in the wrong direction if so many people want to try and pick up a pair of the re-makes. HV1 would be a great shout in a few years time. Not one of my favourites always found the sole a bit stiff but a great looking boot. appleCORR
eh.. to be fair we got alot of high quality re-releases last year. The Ronaldinho tiempos were a near 1 to 1 remake as were the wave cups and Predator accelerators so you might be a little unfair with your statement. Although the vapor remakes tend to be just paint jobs. on a side note, can't wait for the Phantom VNMs
Obviously I know there were high quality re-makes. The Predators looked amazing. I was on about that group of Vapor designs that they just put on the current model. appleCORR
Hey guys, Anyone oldschool to comment on these? https://www.ebay.com/itm/NIKE-TOTAL...E-ORANGE-RARE-UNIQUE-NEW-IN-BOX-/333065490976 What do you think??
They are just the Elite T90 with the Carbon Fibre sole. They weren't limited edition or anything, although I don't think they were made in huge quantities as they were quite expensive. I think in the UK the retailed for around £200 a pair. The Elite series was a good idea but the problem was the Carbon Fibre tended to crack sometimes as it didn't bend too well. $200 seems like a fair price for though though if you were looking for a pair. I'd definitely pay a little bit extra and go for an elite pair. appleCORR
looks like brands are starting to tap the potential of the female football market. both adidas and Nike have given the women's team a different kit to wear for the upcoming Women's World Cup. Also, Nike's new pack for women looks gorgeous.
