Quoting off @jayc23: try Rakuten? different soleplate, but iirc you're in Singapore so, the HG soleplate might work out still Hey fellow Sg mate, yea I guess rakuten could have them but it is always odd to be wearing those studs on HG ha ha. If they have indoors in JR sizes, I'd be just fine with that, as I need replacement for my current TFs (that also works well for indoors or courts anyway). Thanks btw, appreciate it!
Nike academy pack is nice. http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/lists/nike-academy-pack-football-boot-collection.aspx?AFFID=1887
Finally in! went true to size and i think i made the right choice. borderline uncomfortable but can feel that it will loosen up perfectly. Was very impressed with how soft it felt on feet.
Anyone have experience with both the hypervenom x proximo and magista obra proximo? I'm thinking about picking up the obra because I've heard good things about the way they feel on feet. I love the vapor silo though because of how close to the ball they feel and I'm worried the obra proximo may feel a bit bulky and clunky on the ball. Can anyone with experience with both let me know of what your experience has been like? I'm also thinking about holding off for the tiempo proximo that's supposed to be dropping this summer but the legend 5 AG felt to bulky for my foot.
why not wait till the tiempo proximos come out? tbh though, the magistaX and the TiempoX are going to both feel bulky because they use the lunarlon foam which is quite thick.
I may wait, i've heard good things about the new tiempos... but shooting for me in the last gen(tiempo 5/v) before they had the one piece upper felt a little clunky, like i wasn't getting over the ball the way i could with vapor's or hypervenom's.
I have the indoor MagistaX and really really like them. Good touch, comfortable, and the padding is amazing for me for harder surfaces. It's not as bulky as you would think, really it's no different than something like the top tier legend indoor/turf model.
Any idea what Nike have up their sleeves? Looks like they have an event in NY to talk about innovation.
Looks like the new superfly, I believe that it has some kind of new upper material, Flyweave or something like that, which has already been used in basketball? shoes
From some of the leaked photos I saw, theser will be a black version. But I'm sure we will see whiteout, blackout, rainbow, pink and many packs and colors from Nike...(-:
I"m just hoping the break in time, really for just the heel, is non-issue. I do find it funny that they say that the fit is now following the shape of the foot and that this will improve lockdown and performance. Uhhhh, so are they saying they didn't consider that in this current gen or any of the previous gen stuff? I get that it's all marketing mumbo jumbo, but sometimes it just seems so silly to bring up that they've now considered how it fits on a foot, just seems so obvious. Do I sound old and jaded?
Yeah the black version was at a launch event along with the other models to promote Nikes 'Anti-clog traction' I bet Nike were secretly gutted when they saw that Adidas pipped them to the post with the metallic sole because we are all like 'Ahh seen it all before' when I bet they were hoping for more of a wow factor. As far as I can see (mainly on instagram) all the models are going to match the new SF, black upper with metalic blue fade to yellow tick. Not sure what I make of the new SF to be honest with you - think I'll need to see a few more pictures and maybe different colours it looks like a cross between the Magista and SF to me. appleCORR
haha, well, my less cynical self assumes that due to the flyknit being better able to contour to your feet than the not so great synthetics they've used previously. Besides, its not going to stop me from seeing you post a pair of it on instagram in due time =P
The white colorway with the iridescent bits looks really nice. The leaked images looked pretty terrible, so I'm surprised how much I like the release shots.
The "Anti-Clog" traction thing seems like the biggest gimmick Nike have come up with in a long time, the soleplate looks almost identical to the normal SG Pro or most competitors SG models. It'd be great for me if it actually worked as described because I play almost exclusively on SG pitches during the season and mud clinging to the boots can be an issue but I'd be surprised if this actually does anything different. The Superflys themselves look nice but doesn't seem like much of an upgrade to me. Will wait and see but not really a boot I'd be interested in anyway.
The only thing I noticed which was different was the 4 studs at the back - The white ones look nice but they are completely impractical for the general public. The red ones looked quite nice. I think the anti-clog just shows that boot companies are running out of gimmicks. I'm sure it works fine if you are playing at Wembley and the pitch is already like a carpet. But what about Joe Bloggs running around on a Sunday league pitch in January. those boots are going to get mud on the sole. FACT. appleCORR
I'll try not to make this too beg for views-ish, D) but if you want to get a closer look at the Superfly V, then JayMike has already put together a short, unedited vlog from the Innovation Summit. Just thought I'd mention it
