I've been in London this week too - my office is just around the corner from NikeTown. Did you notice how dirty they were just from people trying them on in the store? I can't imagine how they'd look after a game.
As I mentioned in my post above I've been in London this week. I can't believe how poor the boot selection is here. There's nowhere to buy Mizuno's, NikeTown only has one Bomba 2 Finale colourway (with the Brazil artwork) and the top tier selection everywhere is fairly weak. I ended up ordering from PDS and overnighting the shipment.
Just a general consensus of the board out of my own curiousity.. who here wears what and if you can, why? Not just specifically in the Nike range either. At the moment i'm preferring my Hypervenoms due to the soleplate but generally i'm a vapor dude. I think I want to buy the fast forward 10 WC vapors in AG but with the new vapors and SF around the corner gonna cost me basically a gold bar for them, i'm better waiting.
The Vapor AG soleplate is excellent on just about every surface. I have played on everything from wet and muddy grass to old hard AG and I have never had any problem with slippage or ankle spraining
Didn't really look tbh, the lads feet put me off aha.the boot section is terrible, They had one pair of gato's. Soccer scene used to be good to.. but theres more lower tier nike boots in there. The puma store finally stocks boots though!
Thanks, I'll have to drop by at lunchtime. Off topic but did you see the interesting Wilshere photos etc. in NikeTown? Quite cool.
I have a Nike Legend 5... I'm an old guy, and I prefer leather boots with rounded studs... More I see the AG soleplates... more I want it...
I've said right from the start that these boots are just for Pros who can get a new pair every game because anyone else won't be able to get them clean. The colours they are releasing don't help. I guess if you have a pair of these you won't be too fussed how they look after a few appearances - at least with the fly knit trainers you can fling them in the wash if they get a bit dirty, not sure if id do that to the boots. appleCORR
Interesting video that. But I have to say it looks an awful lot of effort really for the person who plays on muddy fields. It looks like it'd be a fun boot to play in but not practical at all.
You could, put them in a washing bag, used for bra's? throw a towel in so they don't bounce around... could work..
How do you know about washing bags for bras?! I did think about that I've washed my flyknit trainers loads and they've been fine but is the sole plate just glued on? I think that would be the only part of the boot at risk of damage and I still don't think a wash would get all the marks off just fade them in places. And I know he was doing it for the point of the video (although he then made out it wasnt important) but why didn't he just bang his boots together after playing to get most of the mud off as for the cleaning .... WAY too much effort and then as he said you have to allow for them to dry? I love the look of the boot I really do but I need more convincing that this will work for the general public so I'm looking forward to seeing everyones pictures & reading reviews. appleCORR
