Actually, I have a pretty fun story about the Superfly I.

I was browsing GumTree (Online classified ads here in the UK), laying on my sofa on a Sunday afternoon after a match for my 11-a-side team, and - with the Superfly I's being the only Superfly in my collection that I don't have - I had a cursory search for them under the free listings.

Lo and behold - newly listed just an hour before - is a slightly used pair of my favourite colourway (White/Black/Pink) and - get this - they're free!

I can't believe my luck at this point, and - uncharacteristically for me - I took a gamble and gave the number on the page a call.

Anyway, this sweet older lady answers and I ask about the boots; turns out her son has moved out and she's shifting some of his stuff to make use of the spare room or whatever.

We chat a little and I explain I'd be happy to pay for the boots as they were quite expensive at retail , but she insists she just wants it all gone. Better still, I live near where she does her shopping and she's going to drop them in that night.

So, it gets to around 6pm - there's a knock at my door and sure enough, the old lady's there. I ask how she's doing, and she's being a little sheepish - you know, won't come in the house, avoiding eye contact etc.

Eventually, she comes clean. She's been looking on eBay and the like and has decided that she wants some cash for them. So I ask, "How much do you want?"

The lady looks me dead in the eye and says...

    ....

    "I need about treefiddy"

Well! It was about this time I noticed that this sweet old lady was about 8 stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era!

I said "I ain't giving you no treefiddy you goddam Loch Ness monster! Get your own damn money!"

The moral of the story is: If you want your boots valuing by people on the board, maybe provide an image, or at least more details. Jeez.

The Nike outlet in West Bromwich has some decent HV turf shoes in the Yellow/Purple colourway and they are £30 at the minute they have lots of sizes.

    Thats a classic @GrassRouteOne :)

Been super busy with work so just catching up. I have to say i love the Magista, i think the 3 colourways Nike showed in Barca looked great and covered a lot of the market.
Im really interested to try them to see what the 'dynamic fit collar' is all about. I love flyknit from a trainer perspective so will be interesting to see how it holds up.

On another note @Soccerfan010 did a great job posting that vid of those premiers a few pages back.
Also the Zlatan campaign has me in tears on twitter.

On a final note did anyone see the Air max 1 FB premium trainers which utilised the fast forward boot colourways of 98, 02, 06, 10M? I still dont get the 98M, that should have just been the 15th anniversary boots!

So while all the hype surrounding knitted boots is all over the place, two things.
I will miss the CTR, I remember when the rumours were going around, everyone was kicking off, saying we don't need a boot for the playmaker position etc.

Then it came, and it pretty much changed the way the other boot companies released and designed boots, along with it was kanga lite. A great addition to the synthetic leather range. While the magista is getting ready for launch and the CTR is on it's last colour way lets take a moment to remember the boot that made a big impact on the boot world.

Now while most people will be looking forward to trying the magista, i personally won't be, mainly because I play on 3G and that flyknit is going to get wrecked on it. However there is a takedown that seems to be overlooked on just about every website boot related. However it is this boot that I am more interested in, and are more likely to buy.[IMG]
surely Nike aren't going to ditch kanga lite? does anyone know anything about these boots?... why haven't any of the major sites released info on the takedowns?

I've just released how much the first CTR and the one above are very similar in shape

I think that version of the CTR and the 2s which basically didn't change much, are one of the best designs of boots I've ever seen & worn they are up there for the Mania's etc for me. The elites were beautiful boots. So light with really think upper.

It looks like material is the way forward for boot companies - I just can't wait to see how practical they will be for Joe Public.

Thanks haha but just wanted to clarify that I didn't make that video, I found it while browsing YouTube. Don't want to take the credit away from the actual video maker.

The Magista Opus (your picture) is not really a takedown model seeing as the Obra is an 'elite' version, much like a Vapor/Superfly relationship. Kangalite does feature on the boot, but it won't be as prevalent as it was on the Maestri series.

The information is there, but none of it is official as yet. There's no official imagery or anything.

The reason being is simply because the Obra were revealed so far ahead of pre-orders opening. Come April 29th, all the retailers will be able to post the images and info up on their sites and it'll all be.

That said, as @FootySpy and @serginhobertholi have already touched on, Kangalite will be used on the Opus and Orden.

As far as the 'unofficial' info goes; the Opus will use Kangalite in the heel, whilst the forefoot will be a combination of performance mesh and NikeSkin.

The Orden offers a more similar package to CTR's of old, with a full Kangalite upper with a textured upper.

So, plenty of options in the Magista stable to look forward to - not just the Obra.

Looks like it has a carbon soleplate and 4 studs at the back...

I think that's a composite shot of the original Superfly II's plate on the Vapor IX.

I've been wearing the ctr iii's since Xmas time. Never worn a better boot. I feel like they give me extra confidence to pull off difficult passes/shots a little quicker. The upper/fit/weight/stud layout are just perfect for me. They are also very durable.

Interested to see the £140 mark magista too. Look like a new ctr.

I too prefer green, the orange and black look like a pumpkin. No offense to the orange/black owners.

I felt I got the best colorway, black and crimson. Very minimalistic.

I couldn't find a pair of those locally so I had to settle for the black/orange. But the black/crimson is definitely the best colourway.
