Had the opportunity to try out the HV today for the first time. Here are some first impressions: The soleplate felt really stiff. Like on some Vapor models. This is very interesting as the HV is basically supposed to be somewhat of a barefoot type boot. Of course the sole will be more flexible after a few uses. The edge of the soleplate where it's attached to the upper is really open. There's a very clear edge there. It would be interesting to know if people who have actually used these have had problems with mud and grass sticking there. I guess that's not a problem since we haven't seen bad cases of sole separation for example on professional players. It seems that if other player's stud got stuck in that gap somehow, it could really do some damage. The upper felt quite nice (sort of rubber-esque) and flexible and I could fit my reasonably wide feet well inside the boots (inside the toebox area too). Really heartwarming for a former T90 wearer. The launch colorway seemed a lot better in real life than in pictures. Definitely want to have just that colorway now. I still want to emphasize that I wore them for like 5 minutes and these are just the quick first impressions I got. I would like to give these a real go as they felt quite nice on but have to wait until Sportsdirect/Soccerscene has these in stock again in my size. Really frustrating but I'd much rather spend 125 pounds on these than 159 pounds (from PDS or some other retailer).
Managed to grab some yellow R9 original Vapor III's for €140 Euro today in Italy, so stoked! Photos going up in pictures of your boots thread for those interested!
Nice!!! For me, my hardest pair to find was the 'cactus green' Vapor III's back in the day. Wanted those, and the yellow R9s you just bought.
Very nice looking boots! This little shop was a gem, in total the family dropped nearly €400 on new boots (there were 3 of us), and I got III's, and my brothers grabbed neos in the green and yellow. But this place had black vapor III's too, the original total ninety supremecy's, the wave boots before the ignites (shinken?) & original Air legend 'Dinho's!
Haven't checked the site myself but its www.cinquecontrocinque.it The shops on Facebook too- cinquecontrocinque. Just seemed like a small local sports shop, luckily five minutes from where I'm staying.
Yeah I've only played in them a couple of times so want to give them a full chance before writing all about it, unfortunately my dodgy ankles means I can't really play more than twice a week on ground like this! Lets put it this way they are shaping up very well against the competition I'm just hoping the leather gives a touch more the longer I play in them Bootboy yep you're right with the laces I really like them I have pretty wide feet and they fit fine. I either like my laces so long you can wrap them around or so short you can just tie a single knot no bow
here you can find the HG version: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Free-Shippi...S_Men_s_Athletic_Footwear&hash=item3f2789b53e

won't be surprised if they took a leaf out of Mizuno's book and applied a 'memory foam'-ish system as well.
I didn't really feel any slippage. Specially when I started to take the boots off, it seemed my heel was quite well locked. I might try these on again today and focus a little more on the heel.
Any opinions on trequartista III? Do they feel clumsy compared to maestri or other top-of-the-range boots? Also is the sizing half size up cause that's what I've been hearing about maestri? Thanks in advance.
Awesome pic mate and funny you have one like that I have a really similar one ill try and upload tomorrow I took or my r9 a while back! Great work!!
Anyone know why Sports Direct haven't got the hypervenoms? I really want to try some on but Sports Direct is pretty much the only option these days and they don't stock them, they haven't even got the top model on their website let alone in stores.
