Unisportstore just released some pictures of the upcoming colorways of different boots (Charcoal HV included) in their news section but now they've been taken of the site (the Nike models). Too early for Nike?

the "white" pack looks good and the mango ctr's but thats about it though. Is that going to be thier world cup releases?

Press release from nike regarding the new legend;
'Well, we just liked the Dio's so much and hoped everyone forgot about them, that we brought them back as our design team has run out of ideas, we spent alot of time just looking on google images at the dio's to really capture the boot and bring it back, but this time instead of a quilted k-leather we are using a supersoft bear skin'

Anyone else notice the awesome disappearance of the huge 'NIKE' on the inside on the white vapor?

I saw someone playing in the orange/yellow vapors yesterday, and the boots looked really nice on the feet apart from when you saw the massive ugly black NIKE going along the inside.

Not sure about some of those colourways to be honest, ive said it before, Nike with other boot companies got greedy and are just running out of colours! Those CTRs are just like the orange lazers we've just seen. If that whiteout is for the world cup its a bit boring ..... Nike have to do better for me.

I think the 'White Pack' Might be called the 'Stealth Pack' Just seem something about it on PDS with an advert just showing the impression of the soles of the boots.

My Vapor XI AG have ripped beetween the soleplate and the upper, will I get a voucher or a new boot back if I take them with me to Nike Town London? used them since march/april

World cup would include superfly 4 no? Black out and white out boots? Good job nike! Now make a boot i can wear all year round. Ground is far too hard in london for sg boots at the moment

In general, I like simplicity of the 2-toned colorway, esp the teal/white CTR. Strange to see the Dios coming back but I guess, Nike, looking back at their old stuff (then), they decided to bring it back. Also, the green on the vapors reminded me of the green on the clash colorway on the lasers.

So, does this mean that its strictly exclusive to only the public, since it is not gona be worn by professionals? I wonder how much will the whole stealth pack set an individual back by.

I really like the CTR and Vapors tho but always too bad for my small-sized feet!

You should definately get a refund/voucher/exhange for that, but whether or not you will get it at Nike Town is a different story, most boots with a fault are usually sent back to Nike where they test to boot to see if it was a manufacturing error which caused the fault and not you going into a tackle with someone and its ripped the boot.

I might be wrong though - Nike town might offer you an exchange why don't you give them a ring. As long as you've got your receipt im sure you'll be fine see what they have to say.

Keep in mind this is subjective and based on my own use and experience.

Best Nike Boots of All Time:

1) Nike Air Zoom Total 90 I & II - kind of a cop out listing both, but they were a push, IMO; the AZT I had a better lacing system than the II, but the II had the better upper, both had a great fit and the best bladed outsole ever created.

2) CTR360 II - This boot was as close to the old AZT line as it got for me. Supreme comfort, durable, felt great striking a ball, and broke in fast.

3) Nike Tiempo Premier 2002-2005 - Probably not the most popular choice with neon colored boot fanboys, but I loved them. They broke in well, really held their shape, and they were made to last. I wore one pair almost exclusively for a year straight, sometimes playing 4 matches in a week in them and training as well. As a matter of fact I had the whole line, FG, SG, TF, and ID so I never felt like I was transitioning between boots despite the surface or weather.

4) Laser I - It felt great, it was great looking, and while I denounce gimmicks I think the shot shield actually had some ping to it because it was so hard in the center, it also offered some protection from stamps to the metatarsals at least in the middle of the shield.

5) Vapor II - While it wasn't the best boot for me personally, it was still an innovative and effective shoe. I put it above the Vapor I because it improved on a few flaws in the production model of the Vapor I, namely the overly pinched toe box and the lack of padding at the proximal point of the heel/distal Achilles. Pro players had the latter option on the I and custom fits anyway, but for a retail boot the II was better than the I. One of the few times "improvements" were to improve the product, not to sell a bullish*t feature.

Honorable Mention: Legend IV, Legend I, Tiempo Premier re-release, AZT Supremacy, Match Mercurial, Air Zoom International, Mercurial II.

Worst Nike boots of All Time:

1) Air Zoom Total 90 III - As good as the I & II were the III got it all wrong. First of all the knee jerk reaction from Nike to drop the InterTract plate due to some feedback from youth systems at Nike clubs saying they caused injury - at least from what I was told via a Nike rep - messed up outsoles for the III and the Legend I. The result was the conical outsole with phylon under it, which mimicked a running shoe. The outsole was stiff, the upper was stiff, the heel counter was too low and had lip on it that caused rubbing and the upper sucked compared to the I & II. Just about the only thing good about the boot was that Nike stopped making it and left the "innovations" from the boot on the shelf. Hilariously the boot was fronted by Torres, Figo, and Roberto Carlos who all claimed it was the "best boot ever" and all three of them had their match issued models created so differently from retail models that it was a complete joke. Torres had the InterTract outsole on FG and the SG plate from the Tiempo Premier line (but more flexible material similar the the Legend IV outsole) as well as no external heel counter, and a true lacing system with a tongue. Carlos had the same thing as Torres but kept the external heel counter, while Figo had the most custom job of the three with a different upper material, and virtually no stitching on the boot. As a matter of fact, most big name players in the boot had the modifications that Carlos opted for including Essien, everyone else at Madrid, and most of the Serie A...even Thomas Graveson (sp) got in on the act and he was a joke of a player. For me, this is next to the Tunit and Pred X (which was almost the same boot but from adidas) as the worst boot in modern history from a big brand.

2) Laser III - Maybe it is the III of each line......this boot just sucked. It was a clunker and totally regressive from the Laser I & II. Nothing about it really worked, IMO. The upper on the synthetic was too stiff and slick, while the leather was too soft and lost shape. The rubber on it was counterproductive, it was a good concept in terms of placement, but it was too thick and pads were pointless. Also the shoe fell apart; both of mine ripped, at least four teammates had theirs blow up/out - one guy had two pairs go in the same week - and the players that I coach had their fall apart. Again, the best thing about this boot was that Nike dropped it, but way too late.

3) Superfly II - Flat out awful. The upper was crap and made worse by the FlyWire. The SenseStud was the most senseless thing ever created. Rumor was that the stud had been planned as a rotational stud like the Lotto Twist-N-Go, but Nike changed it up at the last minute. I think that could have been the only thing worse than the SenseStud. Again, not many faces of the shoe used this which shouts a crap product.

4) Vapor III - I know, I think I just killed a million kittens saying this. If you take the gloss off the fact that this was the first Vapor for many people active in the boot community and strip the boot down you can see it sucked and for those with blinders, I'll do it for you. First of all the outsole was CRAP; Nike went from a stable and durable full plate on the I & II to this modular cut out plate that was glued around the material on the boot of the shoe that was on the upper! This created a huge durability issue, especially on hard cuts due to the force not being distributed well on the outsole. Nike kept this crappy outsole until going full glass fiber which is even more appalling, due to the danger it presented. Next, the upper was junk...it looked nice, but it was stiff and rigid and pretty restrictive. This was also the start of the faux leather insole trend with Nike, which is easily their worst idea ever - possibly Shawn Hoy can explain why these exist and help me understand the design rationale, especially when so many pros get a cloth Nike insole added to their boots which would come retail with the faux leather insole. The boot was visually stunning, but a massive drop off in quality from the II. While I hated their performance there really wasn't a bad looking colorway and some of the colorways were among the best looking boots of all time, IMO. Sadly that matters more to people these days than performance.

5) (tie) Mercurial I - Again kittens are dying, but this boot while innovative was nearly impossible to wear comfortably. The toebox was so narrow it was preventive in terms of foot flexion and it was a blister machine. Nike really stepped it up with the Mercurial 2 which widened the toe box, softened the edges and refined the aesthetic and performance details. It was a great concept boot and a jumping off point, but history looks way too favorably on the shoes performance because of what it started. I also find it odd that a shoe for Ronaldo of Brasil was made so narrow when his feet are quite wide......

5) (tie) Vapor VIII FG - Kitten holocaust! This boot again is a great concept, but seriously an FG boot with less studs than the SG model? This is a piss take, right? The FG blades on this are useless on anything but totally pristine natural grass with soft dirt. I tired to use mine of harder natural ground (dried by sun and humidity but with grass) and I might as well have been on ice skates. I used the FG on AG a few times and they were okay, but I fel they stuck too hard on the plant when striking shots so it led to a lack of total confidence on deadballs and longer range shots. To be totally fair the upper on the Mango was brilliant for touch and while I don't think boots add speed, I felt light and agile in them and showed a lot of defenders my heels. I know I am being harsh when I slag off a boot that I scored 8 goals in over two games, but the outsole thing is absurd. Nike has sort of made amends with offering the newer model in AG, but I still think it speaks volumes when your top name endorser refuses to use the outsole he is endorsing - Ronaldo uses the four stud FG outsole from the previous model Vapor.

Honorable Mention: SuperFly I, Vapors V-VII, Nike Legend III.

agree with most. except superfly one were boss and anyone who played in them knows it. solid improvement from vaopor 4 sl. and all legends have been boss. smae base boots in my opinion.

No complaints from me though. Loved the R10 Dois and was really sad that they ceased production. The soleplate seems to share some similarities with the Hypervenoms, especially in the midfoot area. Glass Nylon as well?

Love the look of the white tiempos and hypervenom although I love the colour of the CTR soleplate. Really looking forward to seeing the HV in the flesh and giving it a run. Will be interesting to see how the tiempo 5 compares to the premier

thats why i did the face, in anything black or blackout boots should be cheaper? as it's one whole colour.
