I could, but that would mean that they would return the voucher too me, and there isn't anything I would want from Nike at the moment.. I would go for some Tiempo ID's but the fact that they are made in China kinda puts me off. If I sell them for cash I am hoping to get at least $190 from them, then I can maybe talk Jorma down to sell me a pair of those Mercurial 2's... Then I shall be set for the season.!!!@#@!#!@#$ Also I would highly recommend you go out and find a store where you can try them on... That way you can look for the best fit you can possibly get from them.
I just can't bring myself to like the HV...they look like crocs or a bedroom slipper to me. I was interested in the soleplate, but I w/ the toe box being big I'll never find out how it is.
The toe box is not big. I don't find the toe box bigger than a vapor if anything it is slightly shorter.
Could someone who has those charcoal HVs post some on feet/action pics of them? Would like to see how they look compared to the release colorway.
Part of the reason the WC'10 Laser looked slim was because it was slimed down. It was an "elite" version in retail with the upper material of the Vapor and no external heel counter. Funny thing about that boot was that about 95% of the players that "wore it" in the WC just had a standard pair in synthetic or leather painted up to look like the "elite" model sold at retail. Rooney and Torres' are prime examples and their boots from the WC can been seen up close on Getty. Per the HV looks. I think the boot does look odd with two colors. It creates a blocky appearance, but I think the boot is quite slim. If they really did try to create a barefoot boot the lines won't be as sharp as something like the Vapor.Rooney's HV did look huge on him, but that again seems down to the colorway. I wouldn't base my purchase on how it looks, but how it feels. I love the concept of the upper, but the durability of the waxy treatment is going to make or break the boot, especially on AG with the combo or friction and retaining heat in the summer/early fall. I am still of the opinion that the Legend IV is Nike's best boot at the moment, but I am going to give the HV a fair shake when I return to training/play in Aug/Sept.
played a 90 minute game in them today and had to swap to my vapors at half. Feet started to hurt (that may be from the constant 4 days in a row of hard training) but the durability so far has been good. No seperation, rips, etc.. I was staring at them yesterday on my display and they have a very slim, sleek look to them. They look as if they arent wide boots but they really are. I can tell a huge difference from putting my MV9's on compared the HV.
Do you guys think this is basically what ACC is? Anyone brave enough to try it on a non-ACC pair of boots?
Looks really interesting. I'll be in the USA for a few more days so if I can find it I'll definitely try it on my unwanted r10s
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Ole...CiP-cTxfA?&cm_mmc=SEM|G|STO|DSK|D24|Rustoleum i may pick this up this week and try it out!
jayc23 be careful, they may not let you carry that on the plane. cliftonjosh If you do, let us know how it works out! But as Mercurial4991 said, it may affect touch. Maybe try it on say a leather computer chair first and rub a ball on it to see if it's slippery or not.
That's a super ligera soleplate! Perfect for HG and very cool they did a hg version. Do they have any extra coverage on the toe like the super ligera a did to prevent stuffing so easily?
They are not mine... http://www.sports-ws.com/popup1.aspx?itemcode=F133NK0003 They are most common in Asia although all Nike HG versions aren't the same, some are bladed some are conical. Yeah,
Thanks, but would also like to see them in action and not so close up. We might see some soon as the players are returning to pre-season training.
Great find mate noob-bob and id really like to see the difference in feel now between FG and HG with the padded insole!
