Rooney seems like more of a Tiempo guy. I have no idea what makes me say that, though. I really can't see him wearing Vapors.
I finally got round to buying some Laser IV when I found a deal I couldn't refuse. Wore them for the first time last night and was pleased to find they were worth the wait. They fit me very well, nothing about them that hampers me or makes me alter what I'm doing and feel pretty light too. Might pick up some SG ones if I can find a bargain as I'm not mad on my current SG boots. Shame they aren't conical studs otherwise I think they'd be pretty much the perfect 3G boot being synthetic and pretty sturdy.
I could see rooney in the venom, but obviously most of the players will go into ctr's as the upper are pretty similar being kanga lite
True. I guess it's been awhile since he's worn leather given he's been a T90 wearer from the beginning.

I guess the white/ black/orange Tiempos were a bit of a flop. The black/volt had great uptake. Not sure why Nike has been so reluctant to put anything other than a white tick on a black Tiempo lately though.
Agreed! It's like you know that they know how to make a good looking boot, but intentionally they don't! Black with a white tick model, white with a black tick model! Keep it simple!
Guys I just realized my Nike Vapor VIII are splitting from the upper and the sole. It's just on the right boot. Do you guys think I can send them to Nike now or wait until they rip more? I am located in the US so any advice would be much appreciated! I have been using them to play Ultimate Frisbee until my soccer season restarted and I have only played in 2 matches with them.
^^^I'd keep using them & see how it goes. Mine did that real quick & haven't gotten much worse since.
I agree, i think you need to accept a little bit of wear and tear on the boots, thats probably happened from just moulding to your foot. I remember my vapors 1s did that and thats was before you even dreamt about sending your boots back because there was a tiny bit of sole seperation. This isn't aimed at you personally at all because i know boots are very expensive these days but i sometimes think that people expect a little too much from boots for that reason. They are made to be worn and not to last forever. But i do appreciate what you are saying being as you've only worn them twice. See how it goes, if it gets much worse you always have the option to return them at a later date. appleCORR
Is this a common thing on Nike's Carbon Fibre soleplates? I've only played with my Maestris II on natural grass and I can't understand how the soleplate looks like this with all the scratches and missing pieces
I expected some molding to happen but not to the point that it would seperate from the place that Nike tried to fix from the Mango, White/Blue, Seaweed, and Clash Colorways. Because isn't that clear plastic made so the seperation would be happening like it did with the other MV VIII? Either way I will continue to use them and see what happens. I also purchased some Nike GS Concept II, so I am excited to use those. Thanks for the advice/help!
Yes this is typically normal mine cracked chipped etc. its not going to affect your performance lol if it starts to fall off then you might have a slight problem. As for Maze that is perfectly normal wear for any boot, if it starts to separate around the whole boot then you would worry as for now just wear them. Im with Apple on this its getting to be annoying all these people posting wear and tear that is basically nothing, unless your boot is unusable we dont really need to see those pictures. its this kind of stuff that is strickening up nike and adidas policys so that they are to the point of not excepting any boots. trust me you want to think about little tiny things you complain so that when your boot actually is malfunctioned you get a replacement other wise people with actual issues wont get replacements (this is just in general not getting at anyone)
So I finally used my Vapor AG the other day, very impressed with them although I had to use them on a sand based astro not 3G but even so no stud pressure what so ever. The only downside is the Nike tick seems to be cracking/splitting where the boot creases which annoys my ocd side, but alternatively I reckon I could peel it off after a few more wears.
Offt those old sand based astroturf pitches will eat up your vapors. I reluctantly played on that surface last year wearing a pair of Bomba Finale's and the studs on those got worn down slightly.
Surprisingly theres not any real wear or tear on them after two hours play, I'm normally on 3G anyways but thought I'd give them ago on the older surface. I'll be using them again tonight but on better surfaces so I'll report back later on any other feedback I have. So far there performing well.
Hi guys. I couldn't find any good pics of Vapor I's in Shock Orange, so I thought I'd post the pics of mine. I've had them in my wardrobe for years and intend to do so for a while. They've never been worn so I'm pretty afraid to ever do so! Anyway, enjoy
