Anyone up for a boycott/petition to fire the worst G.M. in MLS (and you have to try really hard to make that happen), Nick Sackiewicz.

Declining attendance. No Stadium. Wow Nick, way to do your job.

No season tickets for me unless Nick is fired in 60-90 days.

We need some decisive action from up top. I know, lets have a web chat with the GM on MetroStars.com. Nick, you've been real good at pointing the finger, whose fault is it, Guppy's? Johnny Walker's? Hudson County? No, its all your fault.

MFO reads this, so we can just start it here.

Given the current situation regarding the Harrison stadium, I will not renew my season tickets nor attend any Metro matches nor buy any Metro merchandise until Nick is replaced.

I will not renew my season tickets either.

Does MFO have a back-up plan to cover the collapse of the Harrison Project? :D

sure they do. they'll sign an aging foreigner and gut the team. to deflect attention from this. expect a friggin announcement 60-90 days. this friggin sucks. if the shovels hit the dirt like they were supposed to by now, this would be a non-issue.

unfortunately, i already renewed to get those parking passes :(

May I suggest fielding a better team?

A trip to MLS cup would make people realize that, to a great extent, the team makes the field, not vice versa. I understand you all know that and the idea of a SSS in Harrison was appealing, but how long do you think the love affair would last if the team continued to s*ck?

Sure we need a SSS: but if you give us a really good team then any new field, even in the Meadowlands, would look mighty enticing.

I totally agree with your points. However, the Metros lease with NJSEA expires at the end of 2005. Where will the Metros play in 2006 and beyond?

Are the Metros now a candidate for relocation?

Are the Metros now a candidate for contraction?

Maybe for 2006 they should play at that Rutgers field.

The question is, how many years do you get to get at least one thing right? OK, a good team, we've had nine years to put that together, Nick's had what, four? Do you feel closer to that goal right now.

If your point is that NS hasn't done the job on the field, I agree. While I still have some faith in BB, I really don't feel closer to that goal. Nick has also seemed confused in his pursuit of the Stadium, which effort hasn't gone well either.

I guess my point is: how good would you feel in a Harrison stadium if the team continued to fall short in their pursuit of an MLS Cup final?

Not great, I supppose. But I also wouldn't feel good indefinitely with a very good team in the Meadowlands either, unless things chnged radically (like 50,000 started going to games there, and you couldn't see the gridiron lines).

Rutgers doesn't want any MLS team;that was decided years ago.

Here's my promise. I will get season tickets again for the first time in two years if Nick is fired and replaced with a real soccer guy.
