What a sad, sad story. And for me, it was surreal to watch Scott Boras, the super-agent, breakdown during the press conference. This guy can literally change the market value of players on his own and represents the top players in all of baseball. And here he was, having nothing but kind words for this 22 yr. old kid whose life he was a part of. All those negative things the fans say about Boras all kinda washed away after that emotional moment.
My mouth literally fell open when I saw this as the headline on MLB.com on Thursday. I actually watched his outing on Wednesday night and thought 'this guy is potential ace material'. Sad stuff indeed.
