Giocchini came on for the full second half, in a 2-1 loss. Como had gone down to 10 men at just 12', playing shorthanded the rest of the match. Nevertheless, Cremonese didn't score the winning goal until 88'. Cremonese's gain is bad news for Como and Venezia, as both would like to grab the auto-promotion spot (with Parma).

Promoted to Serie A! Niko was an unused sub as Como draw Cosenza, but that result is enough as Venezia lost. Niko played just 194 minutes since arriving in January with 0 goals and 0 assists. He was unused in the last 2 games. He has to have a big preseason to carve out a role with this team. He’ll get a chance in preseason, but if he doesn’t play well, he’s likely on the bench most of the time.
