Just saw Ed Johnson's first goal from the Burn-DC match on MLSnet. Pure class! I can't recall a goal in MLS where a player took a deep cross like that and one-touched the ball into the side netting like Johnson did. I've seen vollies smashed into the roof of the net on long balls (Wolyniec), but there was something artful to EJ politely depositing that cross into the goal mouth.

If you haven't voted for EJ's goal on MLSnet as [Insert Corporate Sponsor Here] GotW, do it now. Jewsbury's wicked strike was leading when I voted. Nice strike, but missing on style points.

Yeah, I honestly wasn't that impressed by Jewsbury's goal. 1. The keeper should have had it from that far out. 2. KC should have scored earlier when Hartman came allllllllll the way out of his box and didn't take the ball.

Maybe he'll get the sympathy vote because of that seizure he had after he scored.

Yeah, that was so bad, I had to laugh at Harkes calling him a pretty pony. It was just not normal. It's like he needs Crash Davis to work with him on his cliches, his interviews, his celebrations.

After Jolley's dumb stunt, I'd have ripped EJs head off for doing it again. What a moronic thing.

that's about the only time i could stand anything Harkes said this week on MLS Wrap. Wheelock specifically asked him to comment on Dallas's good play and he started saying that it wasn't their good play but how DCU was ********ing up all game and how they're banged up and missing people. a direct ********ing question!! god, i hate him as a talking head.

Davy Arnaud's goal is leading now.
Must be some kid in KC with too much time on his hands.
Eddie's has to be the prettiest I have seen this year.
It was almost non-chalant because it was in stride.

Harkes works for DC. I'm surprised he didn't rave about Adu's "goal".

With a bit of help from yours truly, EJ makes a strong, and deserving, comeback.

    Right now it's

    EJ 47%
    Arnaud 27%
    Jewsbury 16%
    Noonan 10%

    :)

yea I keep laughing at that celebration, I mean WTF? Then again, remember all of EJ's celebrations use to involve him taking his shirt off, and since he doesn't want to race Simo on most yellowcards in a season, he has to resort to acting retarded.
