    OK, I know I'm not really a big DC United fan out here on the West Coast, but I've always been a big Earnie Stewart fan and this article was just posted. Thought you might like to see it if you haven't yet.

    Nice article from Connley. Interesting to hear Mathis critique Earnie's fitness! Any team can always use a class act, and he will give the pups a little different role model than Hristo.

    He is total class. Even though I am a Burn fan, it will be hard to root against him. D.C. is fortunate to have such a professional.

    If you're on the fence about making the treck to Dulles on Feb 4, hopefully this article will motivate you to plan a way to be at the int'l arrival gate around 5:30. I hope we can get a large and enthusiastic crowd.

    Hey, I liked Earnie until I read that Cobi Jones is his best friend. :eek: We need to take care of that problem.

    The article had exactly that affect on me, at least. I hadn't been planning on going, but I was sitting here reading and thinking "damn, I've got to figure out my excuse for cutting out of work early on Tuesday."

    As an all around acqusition, (great player, great guy) Earnie may turn out to be the best pick-up DCU has ever made.

    I love his enthusiasm about growing the American game. There is something special about those USMNTers from back in '94.
