There's a great article about Amy on Philly.com today: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports...forward_keeping_Independence_in_the_hunt.html I've really been impressed with how she's managed to maintain that scoring streak. I must say, the offense really looked good on Saturday against Sky Blue. Think they can keep it up against Chicago tonight?
If Chicago play like they did in the first 15 minutes against Boston, we may score 3 or more. However, if they play according to their potential, we will still win but maybe by 1 or 2. I will try to catch the game after I leave work
Vey nice article about A-Rod. Well, she did it again tonight against Chicago with 2 more goals and a very nice assist!! Go Amy!!!
there was also this interview with her on the wnt blog recently. http://www.ussoccer.com/Social/WNT-Blog.aspx i'm not a philly fan, but when a player perseveres thru adversity like this and reaps the fruits, and confounds detractors, it brings a tear to my eye. go arod!
Good stuff! Brilliant move by the Independence to trade for her. Although I'll admit that I don't know who the Breakers drafted and how well they're playing.
Great move all-around, because A-Rod was not doing well in DiCicco's system but is thriving here. Lauren Cheney is an excellent player who suits the Breakers system well.
While we're at it, here's another one: http://www.soccer-new-england.com/Rodriguez-Makes-Most-Of-Fresh-Start.html Interesting things to say about her experience last year in Boston.
That's definitely some fascinating material. Good insights into her relationship with both coaches. Thanks!
