I can't stand Detroit anymore. I like them as a team and don't hate them like I hate the Ducks or the Stars, but I just want Detroit to lose already.
Detroit (the city and it's teams) have absolutely no redeeming value. It's shithole and the empty Joe Louis Arena is a joke. Long live King Sid and Princes Evgeni and Jordan!
I love hockey, since birth, haven't been quite as into since the Jacobs family decided to ruin my beloved franchise, but I definitely am starting to follow the league more and more. Never really had anything against the Wings, couldn't stand the Avs and Claude or the Devils, so always ended up rooting for them on those occasions. I was pulling for the Pens, simply because they were underdogs. Like Crosby a lot, Ovechkin is awesome too, but Crosby is certainly the game's best player. Detroit's top line will be scary next season. As for my Bruins, we squeaked into the playoffs despite being decimated by injury all year, and I think we can be a couple of spots better than that this season. Most of the important players are back and deadweight like Murray is gone. Getting our best all around player back, Patrice Bergeron is huge as he missed virtually all of last year. Kessell will likely breakout being centered by a quality playmaker like that. Lots of young forwards stepped in and played well and that bodes well for 08 09 and beyond.
Lidstrom is pretty ********ing amazing, if I could have any 4 defensemen in NHl history he'd be one of them.
Growing up in Michigan hockey is the sport to play. Bruins, I miss Cam Neely, great player. Wouldn't mind the days of the Original Six again either. That said, I'm still amazed that Lidstrom has stayed with us all these years and is still good. Wish Federov would've stayed, he was a favorite.
Yeah I liked Fedorov, he seemed to be a divisive player amongst nuetrals, my dad couldnt stand him. As far as all around skillful forwards, were hardly any better. Maybe Im exaggerating but it seems like at some point or another he won every skills competition for individuals a player could. He and Stevie were so diffrent and that is what made that duo so good.
NHL 09 (the game that is) is pretty good. The brought the Be A Pro part over from FIFA and put it into NHL. Love it. I am EddieBa26 on PS3 Network.
