    Oh, ya. I forgot.

Dempsey's transfer fee almost matched Wesley Schneijder's ... if you divide Schneijder's fee by a factor of ten and pretend that Fulham is as good as Real Madrid.

I love how everyone on BS credits leagues and not the athletes themselves for player development.

So you think C. Ronaldo would be the player he is if he spent the past four years at UCLA?

    Where you play is important.

I was under the assumption you may be loaned out (provided it's domestically) after the window closes just not sold, am I wrong? If so, I wonder why I think that.

Edit: I may of answered my own question if indeed Wikipedia is correct.

I remember there was a race against time to get DMB's loan deal to Man City finalized last year before the transfer window closed.

I think that it was a race to be signed permanently but Man City was only interested in a loan deal at that point, though once again, I could be wrong.

He should just come to MLS it is a decent league now and he would definatly get solid playing time, if he shows well here he can go back to europe his main priority needs to be to get on the field.

Wasn't Howard loaned to Everton outside of the transfer window? He just wasn't able to play against Man. United. The he was bought when the window open. I think.

Or he has decided to live abroad for a bit, get paid decent money, and just possibly earn a regular position for a prestigious club. It is not looking great for playing time with PSV now, but he could possibly consider it worthwhile. None of us really have any idea without knowing his personal priorities and goals.

Unfortunately that is not a guaranteed thing. He could come to MLS and not get much playing time like Robbie Rogers and then what?

I remember Ronaldinho with the Columbus Crew ... without David Testo and Ross Paule, he would have been another has-been/never-was.

I note from of the other post Davies is having some issues with his coach and did not make the bench last game because of his lack of intensity Its a bit of an adjustment playing in Europe. I suspect Davies and Nguyen are finding out the hard way.

It would seriously SUCK if Nguyen is not given the opportunity of a loan and playing at another club in the division. He's good enough to compete, and it would be nonsensicle for PSV to retard his progress with more young PSV stuff...

He's been waiting, but he's also been hurt. That's lost time there.

Yes, several teams in multiple countries, but he will sign an Eredivisie loan deal very soon.

    Patience, grasshoppers.

Does a loan deal need to be signed before transfer window closes on 8/31?
