I did go on the site and they finally changed "summer" to "fall" which, besides changing the picture at the top of the page, is the only change they've made since they shuttered the service.
soccertvblog.com@soccertvblog Soccer streaming service #NGSN re-launch postponed (again) until November where they expect a "soft launch". Full launch January 2017.
Thanks for the info, @socceraction. Definitely not info that sweeps away any skepticism about whether they will return at all. Hopefully my skepticism is ill-placed, as I loved their service.
And "if" NGSN does come back to the fold, I have a feeling the price will be higher OR less content (leagues) will be offered.
The thing that doesn't make sense is that they should still have everything set from a tech standpoint. And if they already have the rights to launch in November rather than waiting for the 2nd half of the season (Europe) or the 2nd semester (Latin America) then why not launch now. If their rights start in January then everything makes sense. I guess the only delay that would make sense is paying staff.
So....................................NGSN..............remember when that was a thing, and then it wasn't a thing, and then it was a thing that was coming back...............
http://www.maaslandfm.nl/index.php/sport/fc-oss/27351-fc-oss-praat-met-hoofdsponsoren-video.html From what I can gather from the bad google translation, it appears that they are looking for a new sponsor. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
So it's quite clear that this thing is dead. Has anyone read any news/info on this being official? It's good that Univision and GolTV have really stepped up Portuguese league and cup shit this year. Really shitty though about Dutch League and Russian League and all that South American stuff. It was definitely a game changer last season, having access to all of that.
It's very disappointing. I suppose the cost far outweighs the return. It was awesome to even just peek in on a Bolivian League game once in a while not to mention the Russian, Argentine and Dutch. Maybe we will be surprised and get a launch soon!!
If you go on their web page, a couple of days ago they changed "fall" to "summer" for their launch. I wouldn't hold my breath.
The website is still up and says they are looking for a big commercial launch this summer! Summer turns to fall, turns to winter, turns to spring............................................................
I emailed them the other day. Long story short, they replied and said their relaunch will be "sometime during 2017-18 season and will include 19 leagues. So, we wait...
That's what they said last year. The fact that they have not stayed in touch with previous subscribers (I was on from the beginning) makes me skeptical.
Considering some "leagues" start in July, "during 2017-18 season" could very well be anywhere from now until even June next year. Major LOLz.
Still radio silence from NGSN. Dutch league kicked off today and I guess that means that we in the US are SOL. NGSN apparently own the US rights so ESPN who carry the games in the Caribbean cannot air them in the US. This just sucks big time!!!
I said at the beginning of this tread many moons ago that this company sounded way too good to be true. I have a feeling this thread is going to pop up again in 6 months and still no questions will be answered.
The web site changed "summer" to "fall" again. Don't understand why they keep stringing it along, or if someone there actually has a sincere belief that this is going to happen again.
