You know, I've been critical of Omar before (and will be again) but I'm not putting that Johnson goal on him. The shove plus the pick plus the lack of help caused it. You'd like to see him fight through that, optimally, but you can't really put that one on him.

Random that they chose a CCL image (see right shoulder), and his right hand looks like it's missing.

I like how some of these images, the "Herbal" doesn't show, just "Life" right under the LA crest. There is one of LD that I want to make into an avatar that looks like LA for Life.

He will of had 10 days, but I think he won't play vs MTL. The important one is SJ that gives him a full 2 weeks... maybe LD will get released for that one to and they will call in Wondo as a replacement!

This is the issue he's been dealing with right? The left adductor?

Means the USMNT doctors evaluated him and deemed him not ready.

Little bummed for Omar. He wanted this badly, badly enough to say he was going to camp hell or highwater.

Was an opportunity for him to cement his spot. Opens the door for Geoff Cameron, unless MOF plays there. With Evans on the roster I suspect we'll see:

    DMB - Besler - Cameron - Evans

I would say Omar's spot is pretty close to cemented in. Cameron wouldnt be competition for that spot come WC time. It would be brooks, and he is out to. I happen to like the Omar-Besler combo a lot... Besler reminds me of a taller, faster, stronger, better AJDG...

i can care less about usmnt now, we have already qualified. Omar needs to be healthy ASAP or we can kiss a playoff run goodbye. I'm kinda hoping this is a Bruce tactic to keep him in LA and rest up for the home stretch. Are we certain he actually traveled to KC or did LA tell USA that he is injured?

Will we miss Penedo, Donovan, Keane, etc for MTL?

Haha, that would be the smart thing to do. Good going, Bruce. I think Donovan's ankle is still not 100% yet either. He really needs a bit more rest... :)

    Jurgen's loss is Bruce's gain.

Which means, absent a rule change, we have no flexibility to bring in an impact attacker DP. Love Omar but I still think this was a dumb panic move.

yep, i said this over and over and over again. we basically f*ed ourselves. Omar is fantastic but he is not even close to DP great, we need world class players on our DP slots, that's all there is too it with only 3 available. Unless of course Garber has signaled his intent on opening a few more...

Yes. That would be the only saving grace. I am skeptical, but will wait and see.

Hmmm. When Omar was offered that DP contract, I assumed it was because someone had pretty good reason to believe we’d be selling him in the off-season. I’m not quite sure what to make of the decision now.
