Started the season with a loss in Detroit but followed that with their first ever NISA win against Stumptown last weekend. So who am I going to run into Saturday?
Ahhh I want to go so bad, but have a prior commitment. Freaking pumped for this. This town needs a second soccer team.
Not too many people. Maybe 2000. Quiet atmosphere but the crowd at different locations were starting chants. People were definitely passionate about non calls etc. Its going to get better over time. Just going to take some time to catch on.
Looking back on last night, it was fun despite the score. Got to see plenty of people I haven't seen on a couple years. I hope more people just give it a chance instead of just writing them off because of location or team name or whatever. The more pro soccer we have in the Chicago area the better for the future of the sport in the Chicago area.
Going out to Bridgeview for the Fire was painful enough, no way I'll ever end up there for any other reason. I wish them well though, just not for me.
I met up with some friends who live down in that direction last weekend. It's so much worse now that I don't live in the South Loop below the Circle. Unfortunately it's the same problem for the Red Stars. At least it'll be interesting to see what happens with Detroit coming to town, who I'm sure will travel well.
