This thread will contain the NFL team standings until BMLS names and cities are assured for each NFL team. If you notice any errors, please do not be hesitant to make note of it on here

San Francisco is short a point. They had a tie in week one.

Remind me why we have standings again when the regular season hasn't even started yet?

to make things a bit more interesting and have a 21 week schedule (20 games)... a 12 game schedule doesn't work because of byes in the nfl regular season, the extra 4 games are just being thrown in to make it closer to the length of an mls season

top 8 teams make the playoffs, and will be assigned nfl teams based on the nfl team's ranks at each level of the play offs (so that a higher seeded bmls team doesn't have a lower seeded nfl team)

So just how does this fantasy league have anything to do with the MLS?? To me it just looks like an excuse to talk about american football on a soccer message board.

you are a bit right, but it's also a way to compare the scoring of soccer to football

however, i haven't really gotten around to doing last week's games or this week's games... so it's kinda dead

it wouldn;t look good for soccer anyhow. It would blow the MLS away

NFL games take over 3 hrs. to play... soccer, 2 hrs. tops... no field goals, no time outs, no measurements of total yardage (i.e.--Rapids: 5.7 miles total offense, Wiz: 5.3 miles total offense)...

If MLS gave 7 points for every goal and a possible 3 points every time a "drive" fizzles out in scoring position, hmmm, would this make you happy?

I'd just be happy if NFL and MLB games would finish in 2 hours time instead of lasting longer than your run of the mill Wagner opera (complete with Bugs Bunny's "spear and magic helmet(s)")...
